I know of a young couple who went to Italy about 15 years ago for their honeymoon. When they came back to NY after their stay in Italy, they decided to move to Italy. They opened a successful agriturism business in the region of LeMarche and recently became citizens with Italian passports. My mother would say to me in Italian, volere e potere...where there is a will there is a way. So, I've decided to sell my condo in the US and move to Italy. I am now an Italian citizen through bloodline, with an Italian passport. Italy stimulates all my senses...the art, architecture, churches, food, gelato and overall way of life brings joy to my heart.❤️🇮🇹

We got our citizenship subito, in '92 ...with our young son. We've lived in Italy ever since, without respite and watched our thousands of acres of inherited land get stolen by our cousins and the commune. Not to mention they burned down our thousand year old house, in the middle of Gattico. Where there's a will, there's a way. Oh yes, and the gelato ain't that amazing.

Went to Lake Como 30 years ago. Stayed at an old hotel that they said Princess Diana stayed at. Did a small boat tour. It really is a magical, stunning place...Italian but also cosmopolitan European vibe. Feel like 1 foot in Italy & other foot in Austria/Switzerland.
@Cece-eu7bv3 ай бұрын
@@sandrap6321Not Austria nor Switzerland, simply Northern Italy (and northern Italy is already too broad and generic as a categorization). Italy has many facets and vibes, not just one, but it is still unique, it is not inspired by any other country.

On a positive note...(as someone who lives in the US), I have made a choice to live a slower life and not succomb to the hectic pace of the typical American lifestyle.
