If there was witnesses who say they saw a drive by shooting that night I’m sure cops would follow up on those leads. Also, there would be many more witnesses if it was a drive by shooting because it would be spontaneous and whoever was responsible would not care for the surrounding public. Seems they knew to collect the casings, but they forgot one in a bag. Also cops found the crime scene where the car was really shot up from the outside and they found the casings there as well.
