It's weird that WCW didn't set up a base in the UK. When you guys came the first time in 1991 I was there, and the venue was packed. At least 8,000 strong. I also got to the 1993 and 1994 shows too. Our popular UK wrestling had not long be took off air back in 1991 and had WCW been able to do something semi permanent here, perhaps 6 big shows a year, I think it'd really have helped. That said, I'm aware of the costs involved, but those venues were definitely full back in those days for WCW in the UK. I still have a nostalgic love for WCW right from before you actually toured here. I remember it first airing after midnight, the ropes were red white and blue still so those taped shows must have been 1989.

This was a fun episode. I've never heard of Slim Chickens, but it seems there are a few Michigan locations. Talking about the postal service shitting down when it snows...when I lived in Marietta for a moment, the freeway traffic seemed to go 20 mph when the snow was evaporating 50 feet before it would've touched the ground. A stark contrast to the summer, when drivers would flip you off for "only" going 20 mph over the speed limit.

Ah I found the card and venue for my first ever experience of seeing WCW WCW- Sheffield, England Arena - December 13, 1991 Steve Regal defeated Jimmy Garvin (I don't remember this match) Johnny B. Badd defeated Terrance Taylor (I was a fan of The Taylor made Man and at 11 years old, I thought J. B. Bads was a bit weird. I was a kid 🤷 Michael Hayes defeated Steve Regal (I remember vaguely seeing Hayes but again don't remember Regal) Rick & Scott Steiner defeated Arn Anderson & Larry Zbyszko (I definitely remember this. Zbyszko kept telling us to shut up) WCW World Champion Lex Luger pinned PN News (Can't remember this one) Sting, Dustin Rhodes, & Bill Kazmaier defeated WCW US Champion Rick Rude, Mr. Hughes, & Oz (I remember the crowd go mental for Sting, can't really remember much more than that. The next time I saw WCW was 93 at the GMex in Manchester and that was the 8,000 capacity show. My dad left it late for tickets so I was too far from the ring to see anything but I did hear Rick Rude call us Mancunian muppets 😂 And I remember the Dave Boy Vs Vinnie Vegas match because the security let me closer to the ring. Those were the days. 😊

Tony clearly has some unresolved issues with his dearly departed mother in law.

What’s Flair up to these days, in out the loop?
@jackiemoon5906Күн бұрын
Flair has a bit of Bret hart to him. The more you hear them talk the more you wish they’d stay quiet lol. Flair turns on his friends if they say anything remotely rude about him. On the other hand I don’t get the people trying to cancel him for the robe gag over two decades ago
