Some comments are dissing this performance... But it is a performance, real people, playing real music, in real time. All performances aren't perfect, but it has emotion. Better than the computer perfected drivel being released today.

Stop this, please. Music as "real and emotive" as this is out there, it's just not where you're listening. Do you go to local shows? Do you push outside the suggestions on your music app?

I’ve had the occasion to interview Todd a few times over the years. He mentioned to me that early in his solo career, his voice sometimes “lacked tour endurance.” He would tour with Hello People as his band early on and they would do one of their numbers occasionally to break the set up for him a bit.

I guess you might call them “Ballads.” But I prefer Rundgren’s famous songs over those more obscure. Usually it’s the other way around for me. But I think he excels when he sits behind the piano and wears his heart on his sleeve. (True story. I knew this guy in high school named Todd. Great guy actually. He played bass and I actually thought he’d become a star as he was in a lot of “Battle of the Bands” contests. But Todd and Todd Rundgren seem so similar to me in so many ways. They even kind of looked alike although Rundgren is probably around 10 to 15 years older.)
