Last season when Micheal Oliver failed to send off Kovacic for two clear yellows card offenses…. the “Chief Refereeing Officer” for the PGMOL Howard Webb came out and said the reason Kovacic wasn’t sent off was because Micheal Oliver didn’t want to ruin the biggest game of the season by sending off the player. Now can someone please explain to me why less than a year later Micheal Oliver thought sending off Trossard for something less sinister than Kovacic’s two yellow card offences wouldn’t also ruined the biggest game of the season? Daku and Silva both weren’t cautioned for delaying restart; Trossard kicked a ball AS the referee blew the whistle, after the precedent of no yellow was already set. Yet Oliver couldn’t wait to get out the 2nd yellow. This, AFTER he defied reality by not sending off Kovacic in this fixture last year. I'm with the caller. £20k and a weekend in Dubai on the City payroll allows the public to come to the "Cheating" conclusion quite easily. I haven't seen one major outlet (Sky Sports, Talksport, BBC Sport) look at this and question the integrity of the game when an official is allowed to referee a game involving a team owned by a group/individuals that has paid him what can quite fairly be construed as an "inflated" fee to work for them in another league. As a neutral, Doku should have been booked for kicking the ball away in the first half. Arsenal’s first goal should have been called back because they took the free kick a full 8 yards ahead of where the ball should have been placed. Trossard clearly committed a foul against Silva. But he was an absolute idiot to kick the ball away, particularly already being on a yellow card. Where Oliver went wrong was being inconsistent with not giving the yellow card to Doku but booking Trossard for doing the exact same thing. And he did not have the courage to actually enforce the correct spot of the foul that lead to Arsenal’s first goal. Poor officiating by Oliver.

True. Biggest error was pulling a right back out of place and allowing a quick restart into the vacated space. If walker had stayed where he was , Partey isn't looking for that quick pass out wide.
