Thank you so much for making this topic so clear and understandable... Way better than the course lecturer I am currently with... I am actually beginning to really understand things now and intends to listen to all of your videos making notes en route... You are a natural presenter and not once have I drifted off! Brilliant-so please keep these going!

Hi blinkysal ! Person Centered therapy is client led , however in many counselling skills training courses the curriculum asks for learners to work in a structured way to demonstrate a range of competences that can fulfill the marking criteria on assignments . This presentation aids that structure and allows learners to develop a technique to demonstrate an evidence base for skill competence for assessment in a majority of counselling training programs run in the United Kingdom .

Rory... excellent series. I am an addictions counsellor in Ontario Canada. I have been teaching Addictions in Ethics Counselling for several years now. I find it natural to teach this course however I have been contracted to teach Introduction to counselling this semester. So hopefully you are ready for some seemingly rookie questions. I didn't hear you mention whether one should ask how the clients week was in the introduction of the interview. Should we avoid this. If so why? Jeff
