Thank you for such a thorough review! The side-by-side comparisons of all the dimensions of the two models really help showcase the differences. Also, your showing cooking vessels inside the interior is really useful. This stuff is hard to find in written online reviews and it really helps with purchasing decisions!

I recommend using vintage Pyrex both clear and milk glass, and vintage Corning Ware. You can pick them up at thrift shops for a few bucks. Vintage Corning Ware is more available in the small bakeware sizes that you need, but try to find the ones that don't say microwave on the bottom, some are ok, but the older the better. Vintage Pyrex has some minis but not as available as the Corning products.

Yes, they are cute little appliances.

I like that is it wider and deeper than the Dash Mini. That bread looked perfectly toasted.

I the pyrex is in lowercase it is made with the original formula and is more stable. All uppercase is the new formula and is subject to braking easily.

You may want to look at the brand Ellite Gourmet also. They do the 600 wat small appliances too. I have found them to be of good quality.

Such a cute and versatile appliance! I have a Dash Mini Toaster Oven, and I really love it. It's versatile and useful but it does have some drawbacks due to size. The CWC looks like an excellent alternative.

yes, it is a nice alternative

When it comes to Pyrex glass dishes you want vintage Pyrex you can tell it's vintage because Pyrex will be spelled in all capitals. I saw one of these CWC toaster ovens pet Savers I didn't purchase it because I didn't need it but I thought it was interesting. Never seen a heating element shaped like that before.

I work from home and love the auto shut off feature on my appliances so I can make the most of my lunch hour. I set up my lunch on my break about an hour before my lunch. I love that my rice cooker auto defaults to Keep Warm once it’s timed out on cooking. And my airfryer of course is all timed cook but it keeps the food warm for a long time when left in there. Typically I’ll pull something from my freezer and by the time it thaws snd fully cooks in there, it’s close to 20-30 mins. So it sitting up to 30 mins before my lunch means it’s cooled off enough for me to eat it but still nicely warm too.

yes, I love these types of appliances for that purpose

Love your channel!! I am trying to decide between this CWC mini oven and the Elite Gourmet ETO236. Very similar wattage. Have you heard of this? Even tried it? Less expensive than the cwc. Thank you
@CounterCookingАй бұрын
I have not heard of the elite gourmet mini oven. The biggest difference that I see between the two would be the amount of time on the timer. and also the potential temperature of the oven. the CWC oven says it goes up to 450 but it’s actually only 350. The temperatures are off by about 100°. Don’t know if the elite gourmet has that same problem.

Your Pyrex may have exploded due to a microcrack, which is entirely likely if you bought it second-hand and would be unaware of how badly the previous owner handled it. People think it's indestructible because it can handle thermal shock but if it's damaged, banged around repeatedly, over time it can form microcracks that will lead to it shattering. Another issue is Pyrex changed its composition some time ago. Vintage, original Pyrex was made of borosilicate glass, modern Pyrex is soda lime glass, which is cheaper to manufacture. Borosilicate glass has a lower coefficient of thermal expansion than soda lime glass, making it more resistant to thermal shock. It is often used for glassware that can be directly heated, like beakers and boiling flasks. This is how Pyrex got its "indestructible " reputation. Regardless of vintage or new, if a person treats their Pyrex like they would a ceramic pan, it should be fine for decades to come. I have a lot of old Pyrex, and regularly use their discontinued Visionware cookware with no issues (*knock wood). I wash them by hand, set hot Pyrex on a hot pad or towel and never on a cold surface, etc.

I have a 600 watt Bluetti power station. I’ve been looking for appliances I can use with it when camping/power outages.
@ChrisW2284 ай бұрын
Sometimes a 500W power station will work if you keep the appliance power/temperature at or below 50%.
