This is unsafe if purchasing commercial eggs in the US. They have been washed which removes the protective layer which allows eggs to be stored at room temperature. If you gather from your own hens or purchase from a small farmer who does not wash the eggs then this is fine.

I just found out a year ago. Had no idea they could stay at room temp until then. But only if you don’t wash as stated.

Hello Ana, I really appreciate you sharing your knowledge, time and fantastic positive attitude with us. My wife and I moved into a home that has some under drawer slides in a few of the Kitchen cabinet drawers. They are crooked and drag instead of slide. Have you ever worked with under drawer slides. Please tell me you have a video that might help me. Your videos are the best for DIYers. Thank you so much for your time. Will.

The most valuable thing I get from your videos are the proper names for tools that you use. That way I know what to look for or ask for. Thank you!

I didn't know it was safe to leave eggs out of the refrigerator. I'll have to look into it. (Edited): Okay, this is not a useful storage solution for store-bought eggs. So, unless you're getting your eggs fresh and shielded (?), this would not be practical. It's cute though.

Very nice. Would it be possible to save some space by making three rows, with the middle row offset diagonally between the two outside rows?

Next time just drill halfway with the spade but and then flip the board to drill the rest out, it’ll prevent tear out also. Nice build though! 👍🏻👍🏻

It would be good to tell people that you can only store unwashed eggs at room temperature. Eggs bought in the store have been washed and must be refrigerated. 👍🙂

Best to store eggs in the refrigerator instead of on the countertop to avoid food poisoning. *Edit * I'm getting a lot of replies telling me something I knew but neglected to say for the sake of brevity. If you get eggs straight from the chicken and HAVE NOT soaked or washed them, they can be stored unrefrigerated. If you get eggs from the market, they need to be refrigerated because all egg processors are required to wash them which removes the protective layer (bloom) which prevents bacteria from entering the egg. Not all countries require this but the US does.

@@dianaw4072 Yes - correct. I didn't want to write the exceptions bc most people buy their eggs in a market and unless you live in a country that does't require egg processors to wash eggs for sale like the US, refrigeration is the way to keep them safe.
@skrome1953
