English is not my first language so when I found out about Counting Crows, I was mostly attracted to their melody, Adam Duritz's voice and melancoly. I was hooked. I was able to feel his emotions, his joy, his sadness, through his melody and voice. After a while, growing up and getting better in English, understanding his lyrics just confirmed what I was feeling. I will bring my wife and daughters to CC concert in September in LA. Can't wait to see them for my second time, first in 27 years

I fell in love with this band at 16 when I was going through a period of hella depression. I ended up going to see them a year and a half later. The perpetual sadness in Adams voice really spoke to me. Helluva songwriter.

I lost my Grandfather in November 1993. During the height of August and Everything After. Years later CC released Recovering the Satellites. Long Decembers line about the smell of hospitals took me back to 1993 when my Grandfather passed away just a few days before Thanksgiving. A Year later in 1994 was my first trip to the Outer Banks of NC with a group of friends. I fell in love with the ocean down there and the end of Ling December seemed to follow the next thing I did less than a year later after I lost my Grandfather. It's amazing how one song can bring back so many memories. I had been to OC Maryland before. But it was to crowded to truly fall in love with the ocean there.

I have the same shirt. Love-Forever Changes on black. Love the 4 song suite they released this year. Adam and band spoiled us this year. I have the vinyl. I can hear some Who, Springsteen and a bit of the New York Groove. The ep reminds me of the time when fm rock featured long jams and it was all fresh. Nice set here. After years of having it easy as a radio dj, I had to pick items at an amazon facility journeying through four football fields of rows of items packed taller than you...and it was one more day up in the canyon. one more night in hollywood. you got me through it.
