Loved the beast balls. Maybe do the safari ball idea instead. That way you could decide to use some of them on things like the G-Birds. I loved that about the Safari balls and the Mighty Pokemon. The remote raid pass restriction has to go. Some of us are just not in crowded areas and willing to buy the remote passes.

I did 10 raids only and got my first ever shundo and 3 shiny's, my luck was INSANE

I have friends who did 40+ raids but won’t be able to fuse any because they are new to the game and don’t have cosmog. They got tickets too.

I thoroughly enjoyed the day! We (the community for the most part) went hard for the whole 3 hours, getting 36 raids in within 1k of each other. I had fun with friends, and made some new ones, too. Got a couple good ones, but no hundo. Honestly, I'm okay with that (don't tell the raid bosses).The Beast Balls were an awesome surprise, and I think people planned to go super hard even without knowing about them in advance.

Glad you had a good time. I got in seven free raids and got one shiny. Just need to wait for lucky trades to get some decent stats on the ones I have. Also jammed in one raid at the last minute to get enough energy for both fusions. Glad I did that as I have no idea when these will come back.

I agree with your take, CJ; I didn't have an extra Cosmog to fuse either, and in spite of this still had a great experience with the raid day. I ended up staying till the end just helping people get their fusion energy because the experience was so out of character for recent Niantic.

I did 14 raids and I got 2 shiny’s which by the way was 2 in a row. Wow i thought I was gonna get skunked but i was so glad that I was wrong. I loved doing this and honestly I was so excited for this raid day regardless of the hours which was 3 hours. I actually didn’t mind the three hours this time. Normally I would complain about it but this is the exception to that for me. Necrozma was a Pokémon I didn’t have a shiny of and I ended up getting 2 of them. To be fair I did miss cosmog yesterday but to be honest I have three that I didn’t pay for so I have no regrets about cosmog besides RNG. I was enthralled by the fact that Best balls were included it felt so good and not having to worry about Necrozma running away. I was thinking about cosmog however i don’t like cosmoem or however you say it. I also don’t have enough fusion energy to get Dawn Wings. My favourite is Dusk Mane. I honestly thought after ten raids and not getting a shiny I would get skunked until raid 11 and 12. I was so happy I decided to do everything including a rocket grunt with ice types and getting a shadow hundo snorunt. Thanks for this vid Count. I did not do the daily incense or the routes. I did everything else.

I feel like people are overreacting about the lack of cosmog in the event. It was a good event even without the cosmog. This is also coming from someone who doesnt have an extra cosmog to fuse. If niantic is smart they will give a chance to catch cosmog soon. Regardless of how good niantic is to the community they are good at making money so having it be in another event with an event ticket makes sense on their end.

Yeah, it was very good, but if you did a raid just before 5 pm and finish after 5 00pm, you get no fusion energy... I did, and I'm stuck with 990 Lunar Energy (I had that amount before raiding)

Another thing that happened after 5 p.m. was the beast balls were replaced with premier balls. Hard pass on doing those raids with those balls.

Yeah, I thought that lack of fusion energy in remote raids after 5 was a serious negative on the whole event. Given how many raids are needed to fuse both - 20+ - and the small window of event time, they really should have given it for all remotes during the full global event window.

Bad luck protection, lol, I need that for sure!!!! We had 10 people in our group. On the first raid we did there was 1 shundo, 1 3* shiny and 1 hundo. There was a total of around 5 shinies for the day for us. Now as for me, I did about 50 raids at go fest, and about 17 more yesterday, no shiny at all, no hundo and the best I personally caught was 89%. Myself and 1 other person in our regular raid group are the only 2 in our group that continually fail to get shinies one raid day after another. I got shiny primal groudon on his first raid day way back early this year and that was the last as well as first, shiny legendary for myself. Also never have gotten a hundo legendary. So bad luck protection would be welcomed for sure.

Absolutely more enjoyable with Beast Balls and 30 min raids. The kids in the group especially had a way better time, not stressing about catching. Didn't need to drive to any raids, either. I'm sure we'll get a Cosmog soon, but they should have done a timed research for it, like a Meteorite for Mega Ray.

I love how you mentioned a bd luck safety system. Lol I did over 80 raids with one shiny. With the possibility of 1 out of 10 raids my luck was terrible. The only thing that made it worthwhile and not make me pull my hair out was a hundo on my 76th raid

I am normally a free to play player. But because it was easy to get them with beast balls(even my 5 year old son could do it) i ended up buying more raid passes, so we could fusion energy enough for both. Only minus where that we did't get two with super high IV

The most memorable part of the raid day for me was wasting 2 remote raid passes and 1 regular pass due to game crashes that made me not get an encounter. Automated Niantic support is a joke.

The most hated thing about raiding is catching the pokemon. I could throw all excellent curve balls and just be at the mercy of RNG. Safari/Beast Balls make it so much more enjoyable. Having it on special occasions is welcoming but I just wish regular raids gave you better odds of catching something in a form of skill, like consecutive excellent throws. I had 20 consecutive excellent throws and 2 Latios run from me yesterday. 😒

I did 11 raid and caught one shiny of each. No shundo though . I love the beast ball it helps me to catch all my pokemon. I totally agree with you. I think Niantic should do this to all raid day pokemon so that it ciukd helps new snd old players to be able to catch legendary pokemon and make profit of tgem from purchasing remote taid passes

I did 48 raids. Zero shiny and Zero Hundos. However, the thing that saved the day from being ruined was a shiny blue stripe basculin that I hatched from a 7KM egg during the raid day

I reckon having a mechanic to buy/train to get an additional IV point or two would be good; could still be monetised.. Hearing stories like trainer club (700 odd deep and no hundo) is painful. Yes there is the chance to re-roll with luckies. Personally i'm happy with 93 lucky over a hundo, entirely due to the stardust saving in powering.

Do agree with bad luck protecton system We should have hundo guarantee after 200-250 raids And shiny guarantee after 20-30 raids. This will separate this game away from those casino/gambling games. But i think Niantic is doing opposite thing which is secretly skewing the rate down to gain more profit. 😂

I did 3 local raids but I did not get the Beast Balls to catch the Pokemon but I managed to catch the necrozma with premier balls. Worst thing was I did not even get the Lunar Fusion Energy. After 3rd raid, I just stopped. Niantic continues to amuse every now and then...

Beast balls are cool but not giving a cosmog is unforgivable. If you are new or didn't play gofest no matter how many you did you werent making any fusions until Niantic brings them back yet again & wasnt clear to people who dont follow the online guides Feels like deceptive advertisimg imo

I got a 98% shiny necrozma. Where I messed up at is I focused too hard on getting a shiny I wasn’t paying attention to fighting only one form of necrozma for the energy. I got 540 solgaleo energy and 810 lunala energy. I hope they bring back solgaleo or lunala as a raid and allow us to get energy again

I'm gonna disagree with the catch difficulty thing. I don't think making it easy all the time will create a more positive experience because if there's no risk of losing something, you don't end up valuing it in the long run. I think every once in a while it's good to have these catch boosts but not permanently.

Maybe because I'm not Lucky. I did 20 raids, got 2 shiny one had pretty bad iv. Since they said Boosted Chance of shiny i expected at least 4-5 shiny on my 20 raids. Yea, having beast ball was a positive thing that it made easy to catch necrozma.

This was Crap. I started with my 3 remote raid passes, used a raid group service (the only realistic way for a rural player to do these). Immediately found out that most people don't know the difference between the 'dawn wings' and 'dusk mane' forms. Finally got the right one a few times, and then started to notice I didn't get any fusion energy!? It turns out it has to be before 5pm for the person who started the raid. This is why I wasn't getting beast balls either! How the HELL should I know if it's before or after 5pm for the people who start the raids!? WHY were necrozma raids still going for them after the event!?!? I just needed the fusion energy, and I was even about to buy more passes to keep playing (it was only 2pm for me). After seeing I already wasted 2 passes, I just quit. I'm furious Niantic set this up this way. Screw them. I'm not going to pay money, play a bunch more raids and then cross my fingers that I MIGHT get fusion energy from some.

Personally would have liked to have seen a few Mega Latias, or Shadow Regice available at the same time. They made sure to clear any other raids before the start. I need them for Pokédex entry, and hard to find group willing to do them. A few people agreed to do Latias on Sunday, and chose to back out.

I am still confused why Niantic changed the times on the ticket from 2-5 to 2-10PM if it made no difference. I got shorted about 6 raids from the paid ticket because I was expecting to be able to raid these till 10 PM, but it still stopped at 5.
