Things I agree with: Raids did seem less laggy and more interactive. Being "ready" was nice for local raids. The join raid feature is very much helpful for the few times I want to Remote Raid anymore. Monetization is egregious. We've talked about this... but missing from Count's analysis: 1 - Keldeo has been held back for 2 years from its original Pay Ticket debut. Hopefully we get our chance at it before Unova GO Fest. 2- The reason for the egregious monetization: The Remote Raid Nerf.Yup, they go hand in hand. Most all of these tickets and egregious monetization did not occur until AFTER the Remote Raid Nerf. Niantic cut off their steady income source and are now trying to get it back with all these tickets. The Avatars "update" was a downgrade. We went over this before, but yea. This was a GREAT idea that was poorly executed. I can't think of any reason to like it. Dynamax is also pretty useless... yea, it's a nice side game, but I don't see the reason to play them much other than to do them every so often just for a distraction. Only time I was really all in was Toxtricity since that was the easier way to get them. At least I could find the Max battles and not have to chase down regular raids if I did not want to. Otherwise, I don't really care.

Count. Add yet another glitch for 2025. Once midnight hit our time (NZ) I finally caught my sleeping cap snorlax from the go plus + research it was a 96% but… it had the date of 31st December 2024 yet caught 12:07 Jan 1st. The journal then recorded everything 1 hour in the past … it said it was caught 11:07pm 31st December 2024 instead of 12:07 1st January 2025.

@ from April 2020- April 2023, there was no daily limits on remote raids and they were priced at 1 = 100 coins and 3 = 250 coins, in 2022 the 3 pack went to 300 coins, than in April 2023, Nerfantic cancelled the remote raid community by implementing daily limits and egregious prices

Count, thanks for the awesome video! One suggestion I have for improvement is to make the Campfire App and game features easier to navigate. I just figured out how to find community groups yesterday, which will be a huge help for those difficult raids. By the way, will you be in LA for the Go Tour?

All the event tickets, half distant egg hatches more and more incubators you need, the limited raids for certain legendaries with the cost of remote passes. I wouldn't feel good about trying to get people to join because of the time and cost to play today. They'll pay at least double what I paid and with the remote limit it's going to take to long to level up.

imo amazing years (my first time playing since 2016) yeah few downs but they did a great job a few CDs werent amazing but they dont pick that from what ive been told by CA the pokemon company picks them a year in advance but hopefully we get another good year!

I hope they improve the avatars, too! Also, I am not enjoying the Dynamax system. I enjoy being able to join friend's raids remotely without being invited. I also enjoyed the introduction of "Mighty" Pokemon.

If they left the new joining feature alone it would have been stellar but they unfortunately ruined it for me after "fixing it". Ive learned most of my friends join remote raids and the feature doesn't work when you do that so its like it doesn't even exist for me. Gofest was awesome but outside of that and gigantamax raids im pretty much only signing in for shinies i dont have / cant get in other games. We need new things to do that arent completely broken like pvp or coming out once a month for new gmax challenge. For me gmax is probably the best feature for 2024. Yes its only in person which is a bummer but to actually have to plan a build and not mindlessly button mash was desperately needed. We were doing these with around 15 people

Thank you for not letting the avatar issue drop. It is bad enough that we have to suffer the new weird ugly avatars, but its a constant reminder that Niantic are utterly incapable of admitting to, or reversing any mistake they make, nomatter how stupid.

Heres mine: Top Negatives; 1. Not removing the previous years Remote Raid passes Nerfs. 2. Not allowing us to complete the Sinnoh Dex during 2024 Go Tour. 3. Everything about the Models Update. 4. All the Monetization. 5. Misunderstanding the Fan Base regarding Elite Raids. Top Positives: 1. Wild Area (Name needs changing) 2. Raid Timer Skip/Remote Raid Friend list Joining. 3. Galar Region Release. 4. MAX Raids (doubles as a negative, but less than the top 5). 5. Zacian and Zamazanta Shiny releases/returns.

I think as a Rare Reward from Raids that Niantic could add in a new item called the Rare Energy that could be used to increase either Primal, Mega, or Fusion Energy that could be beneficial to the game for those of us who have don't have that many energy to do either Primal, Mega or Fuse our Pokemon at a given moment.

A change that I personally would like to see is change the weekly raid day hours in the winter to be before the sun sets, I legit couldn’t raid any Pokemon because it got Also, I LOVED GO Fest

Count talks about Niantic being slow in releasing new Pokémon , but they have to be they only have a certain number of Pokémon they can release and that number will only get larger with the release of a new Pokémon game from Nintendo.. I do hope they learned from Dynamax to pay attention to new resources being to limited to encourage players do what Niantic wants them to do with new mechanics . Like having half the limited resource being used for a raids and more than half to level up the Pokémon, and I know it is level two and up that is doing this in Dynamax

My biggest issue with dmax, is the cost of powering up one mon, a regular is what 2-300 candies and 296 xls, dmax is that plus another 400 candies and another 120 xls, then you have gmax which i dont know about cant access them, yea its ok for veteran players but new players dont have the candies, it would be ok if we could use old pokemon and just power up the moves, new features are supposed to encourage new players, not turn them away.

The dynamax system isn't terrible. I like it for the most part and have engaged as much as possible. Like the old raid battles it was a lot of powering up mid pokemon to take down good pokemon until you have the good ones in your collection. If/when we can use dynamax in regular raids like we can mega evolution it will be a lot better. The big problems I have with it is on the gigantamax raid days you can get increased max particle storage but you can't store more until after the event starts. If you are doing the same three power spots over and over you aren't getting new particles and have to wind up buying them which I don't like. We need to be able to stock up extra particles prior to beginning our day so we don't have to stop raiding to find extra particles to keep going. Also its been extremely difficult to get just one with good IVs. I wound up having to do 6--7 to get one Gmax Lapras and Toxtricity over 90% IVs. Never got a good Charizard. Took about 30 attempts to get a good IV Skwovet. It seems like that system is designed to give you 89% IV's at best.

As a player who just started playing in April of this year I really enjoyed the game play but I understand where a lot of the ppl who have been playing for years r frustrated. My top two accomplishments was def my 100% dusk mane necrozma and my shiny gigantamax charizard!! I live close to NYC so it’s easy for me to do big events

Only thing worth was gofest. But that’s even being generous. Trying to power up both forms was way too expensive. Then to introduce a whole new dynamax system that also drained resources was a slap in the face. Has to be one of the worst years.

GO Fest is only one weekend out of the year. It won't be sustainable if the only good thing is live events. Hopefully, Niantic gets their act together.
