I just tried the cozy sleeve for my first ever crochet piece. At first it was really hard to understand what was happening sense u were a littil fast at explaining but eventually i got the hang if it and started doing some without even thinking about what i did. So i gaind some muscle memory. Unfortunately i made my first row too tight soo i have to use the smalest cup possible 😂. But over all it was a great tutorial ❤️❤️❤️ it would have been even better if u showed how to "weave in" as i have never seen it before.

When I have a long chain to make and slip together I do something similar to your trick, but after I do a few chains like 5 or so, I take the chain off, put my hook in the first stitch and then I continue to do the rest, it makes the loop as I go and the 1st chain just kind of stays at the back of my hook out of the way, sometimes I’ll put my thumb on it to make sure it doesn’t slip off but yeah, I’ve done chains of 100+ with this method and never have to worry about my circle being twisted when I connect them. I wish I could remember who showed me so I could give them credit.

Hi! All of your designs are so cute, I just subscribed to your channel! :) I wanted to ask, for a cold cup cozy would you recommend not using acrylic? Thank you!
@TheTurtleTrunk
@TheTurtleTrunk 4 ай бұрын
Hi! Thank you! Cotton would be better as it is more absorbent. If the cup or can condensates then acrylic would not hold up very well.
@SheriWhitfield
@SheriWhitfield Жыл бұрын
Love these. I'm surprised, however, that you don't make them in cotton, as it seems most people do make them with cotton yarn, especially for cold cups that may sweat. I much prefer using acrylic, so I'll give it try with both fibers!
@TheTurtleTrunk

Thank you! I usually use cotton for cold cup cozy's so it absorbs condensation, but I like using acrylic for hot cups!

Hi! If you made the cozy with the base, after working your increases for the base, you may have had a loose tension so your base kept growing. You can try and tighten your tension or go down a hook size or two.

Is your stitch count staying the same each round? Make sure you're not working both a DC and FPDC in the same stitch, and only working one per stitch.

Just finished four of the gorgeous Country Cottage headbands, and I'm excited to make several of these sweet little cozies. Could you please suggest a substitute yarn for this. Soft and Sleek doesn't seem to have the darker green that I'm hoping to make. Thank you so much for this great pattern.

So happy you enjoy them! These printables are from The Knotty Boss on Etsy. She has a ton of different labels available, here is her shop: www.etsy.com/shop/TheKnottyBoss Last year she gave my audience a coupon code for 30% off anything in her shop, I have no idea if it is still valid but if you do buy something you can try the code TURTLETRUNK30. Again, I'm not sure if it'll work but it's worth a try!

hi! new to crochet, i've been following the one at the end, how do i keep them from going flat, am i doing anything wrong?
@TheTurtleTrunk
@TheTurtleTrunk 9 ай бұрын
Hi! Do you mean the walls of the cozy aren't going up and the cozy is just flat like a coaster? Once you are done the increase rounds (the base), be sure you are no longer increasing your stitches. If your stitch count is correct, then you may need to tighten your tension once you start the DC rounds or go down a hook size. Hope that helps!

Hi! My yarn was quite stretchy. You can add more chains to make yours larger just be sure to work an even number of chains

You can either go up a hook size or 2, or you can make your chain longer. If adjusting the chain just make sure you're chains an even number.
