Bill, i have played music most of my life & worked in bands playing guitar or bass but had lost a lot of my passion for music until a friend bought me a banjo & i started learning your arrangements...I just want to say thanks for inspiring me and after 7 weeks and many hours every day, i can now play the Ballad of Jed, Foggy Mountain Breakdown part 1 & 2, and the verse & chorus of Country Roads (which is a lovely arrangement)...Thanks for giving me my love of music back...

We moved to Ireland about a year ago, decided to buy a banjo a few months ago to learn something new...and your teaching stands out above the rest and keeps me motivated...thank you Bill. Hoping to see some Irish tunes in the future...blood of cú chulainn or something outside the mainstream.

like your guitar lessons, keep it simple great....ever think about going over the way Sonny James played the guitar behind his singing? Other then Young Love no one on you tube goes after the way Sonny played his Martin with strums and runs almost always showcased in his hits.....Eddie Rabbit was another great the showcased the acoustic in a lot intros to his hits.....

Hi Bill - First of all, huge fan - your lessons/videos are amazing and have led me to playing after a long hiatus! Question - do you have a version of Old Dan Tucker handy? Would love to tackle that one - and would be happy to pay for the Tabs/Video. Appreciate the consideration - and please keep sharing your gift!!!

Your frame by frame method and your instruction makes it great for a learner to follow.i upgraded to a Deering Goodtime Special for now.It plays and sounds great.Bill,what do you think about Railroad spikes for the 5th string.

Thank you bill, great video - how can I get a download of the tab ??
@sparks29997 ай бұрын
Hi Bill - Thanks for this lesson. I downloaded the tab and was trying to make my own backing track with Band in a Box using your chord progression show at the bottom of the page 2. I don't understand the "/" marks is that referencing a measure or a beat? If I use them as measures the chords a drawn out too long for the melody.
