Both you and Trueshot dropping Pittsburgh reactions today, it’s an Amity kinda day I guess. I’ve always loved this band, since back in the Youngblood days. Joel’s writing about his struggles with mental health always hit a chord with me. I always super appreciate when artists go out on a limb and open themselves up in that way to share. They are still going by the way, they dropped an album earlier this year

I've only seen them about 5/6 times, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the melodic and the screamo. The clean singer Ahren Stringher is such a compliment to Joel Birch the screamo, however Joel also has a beautiful clean voice - Drag the lake is the best song I would suggest off the top of my head. My daughter brought Dan Brown's guitar which is signed by the whole of Amity from the this could be heartbreak album. Parkway and Amity are my TWO ABSOLUTE FAVES and being an Australian yep I'm bloody proud to say they're our boys. Bummed due to Covid19 we were supposed to be seeing Parkway in June but won't be til about July -ish next year by the looks of it. I've seen them before and honestly BOTH PARKWAY AND AMITY ARE BRILLIANT ON STAGE. Actually Sept 2019 was the last I saw Amity and it was great Joel jumped into the crowd and did a bit of crowd surfing, as you do... 😂😂 Gotta love our home grown talent.

They are my favorite band ever..used to be The Color Morale but I've kinda fallen off them, but I gotta say there is no other band quite like the amity Affliction! Don't get me wrong I still love other bands like August Burns Red, Wage War, A day to remember, our last night...but I feel a deep connection with TAA and I absolutely love Ahren and Joel's voices! Plus the insane instrumentals! I listen to them more than any other band and I have bought all their CDs starting at chasing ghosts and up! They usually release an album every 2 years and everytime they bring something new to the table whilst keeping their catchy chorus 🙏 I'm happy when I see others praising this band they truly truly deserve the recognition.

I love these reactions so much, I live a few hours south from where amity is from (Gympie, Queensland. Fun fact: it’s the country music capital of Australia. They literally hold the national country music awards there. It’s a town of 2000 people) and an hour south of me is Byron bay where parkway are from. (Fun fact: Byron bay is the surf folk capital of Australia. Think jack johnson, Xavier Rudd, John butler etc.) I personally don’t like that stuff but it blows my mind that the two biggest metal exports from my country aren’t from the city.
