DETAILS: thecivilrightslawyer.com/2024/07/11/country-singer-writes-song-about-arrest-by-idiot-cop-charges-now-dropped/ This 18 year old country music singer from Montana was pulled over for speeding by a state trooper who is looking for reasons to accuse him of driving intoxicated. Even though he blew a 0.0 showing he had no alcohol in his system, and even though he did all the stupid human tricks he was asked to do, and even though he was 100% polite and cooperative with the officer, he was still wrongfully arrested and charged. A blood test taken after the arrest showed what any rational police officers should have known: that the kid was completely sober. Yet this happened to him. He wrote a song about it. Jaden's KZbin channel: www.youtube.com/@JadenDecker Jaden's song, "Thrown to the Wolves": kzbin.info/www/bejne/ipzRmJaiZ8tnh68si=6kD62d3prFpzC6F-

Cops treat pocket knives as "weapons." Once when I went into a courthouse and had a pocket knife (the blade was less than 2 inches), the cops took it and I laughed, saying "Trying to kill somebody with that knife would require me to stab them repeatedly and I don't think they'd stand there for that." All I got was sour faces. They did give me the knife back when I left the courthouse, however.

There are so many problems with your pension idea. For one, its completely illegal. No court can take a person's pension, unless it's a divorce court. Even OJ got to keep 100% of his retirement funds. Also, what would that do to the hiring numbers? Who would take a job where they could be completely perfect for their entire career, then on the last day of their working life, they screw up and lose all of their retirement? Who would take that job? Also, pension funds are shared so you would be punishing others as well, who had nothing to do with it.
@KarenWagner-do6iv
@KarenWagner-do6iv 6 күн бұрын
Yes, a police officer can lose their pension if they are convicted of a crime, particularly if the crime is directly related to their police duties, depending on the specific laws in their state; many jurisdictions allow for pension forfeiture in such cases, meaning they can be stripped of their retirement benefits. Key points to remember: State-specific laws: The ability to forfeit a police officer's pension due to criminal conviction varies by state, with some states having more stringent laws than others. Crime connection to job: The most likely scenario for losing a pension is if the conviction is for a crime committed while on duty or directly related to their role as a police officer. Severity of the crime: Generally, more serious crimes, like sexual assault or corruption, are more likely to result in pension forfeiture.

@@authorfalling *"How is being docile and compliant a model citizen?"* Because fighting the pigs on the side of the road isn't actually the proper way to address their authoritarianism; it's just a decent way to be assaulted, kidnapped, or possibly murdered. *"A model citizen would have fought that officer with words and set the record straight right there."* So, did you not watch the video, or did you just not understand it? The kid _DID_ use his words to tell the pig he wasn't under the influence of anything. He passed all of the pig's tests. The pig arrested him anyway. Do you honestly think that if the kid had been more vocal "setting the record straight" the pig would have decided not to arrest him? Anyone with any brains knows the pig was going to arrest the victim no matter what. Being more vocal would have simply landed the kid a false obstruction and/or resisting charge in addition to the false DUI charge. A model citizen tells the pig that the pig is wrong, then doesn't fight the armed thug on the side of the road. A model citizen fights the armed thug in the courtroom.

I think the cop wanted to teach this kid a lesson without hurting his driving or criminal record. He was clocked at 62 mph in a 35 zone, 27 mph over the speed limit. That is reckless driving. That alone can be up to a felony. Instead of simply arresting him or ticking him for that, he gave this kid a chance to spend time in a cell, spend some money, and make him think hard the next time he wishes to travel almost twice the speed limit.

What happens when you're arrested and then it's dismissed, BUT your vehicle is towed, and you have to pay to get it back, or you miss work = it cost you.

those officers should be charged with filing a false police report, dereliction of duty, and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Everyone driving in the US should know that whenever a police officer approaches you and requests that you take a field sobriety test, that cop has already decided to arrest you for driving while impaired, and all the field sobriety test will do is give them evidence against you in court!

Case dismissed, but the punishment is the process. If a case is dismissed the officer should also be dismissed.

Agreed. In my state, it's an automatic license suspension. I'd gladly take the suspension over providing so-called "evidence" of a DUI even if I am 100% sober. I'll figure out how to get around town for a year, no problem.

I said same thing ,you have to blow or they take your license for refusing to but better to do that than do those stupid tests where they just looking for reason to lock you up

@@BPoweredLove *" In my state, it's an automatic license suspension."* Most states will suspend your license if you refuse to take the actual chemical analysis, not the field sobriety tests. The pigs -can- will use your refusal to take the field test(s) as probable cause to arrest you and temporarily suspend your license (pending the outcome of the official chemical tests). Also, if you refuse to take the official chemical tests, they will get a warrant to force you to submit to the test. At that point, the suspension is no longer temporary pending the tests; it's a minimum of 1 year.

@@frocat5163 Yes, as stated, I would gladly take the 1 year suspension than to provide, give, hand over evidence. I'm not sure if you're arguing or agreeing. It bears importance to distinguish something here. A completely sober person refusing testing is different than someone who had a couple glasses of wine at dinner. I don't have the energy to type everything out, but needless to say, cooperating with any and all testing does not, will not, shall not, cannot HELP the suspect. These tests ONLY serve to help the accuser. If you agree with that, cool. If you don't, also cool. 😁😁

@@BPoweredLove refusing to take a test is grounds for suspension, I refuse field testing, take me downtown and draw some blood is not refusing a test and will be held up in court.
