This was fun to watch again and bonus: now we can comment! The cranberry sauce I made Sunday was your method but with additions. I have a recipe that calls for the juice and zest of one orange, a cinnamon stick, ginger and cloves. And I did mold it in a canning jar for fun. Fresh is best!

I added too much sugar, how can I make it more tart? I went out and purchased 2 more lbs of cranberries to start over. Your recipe is better, less sugar than the one I originally used.

I was wondering if you dehydrate the leftover pulp to use as a powder in other dishes. Kind of like you would for tomato powder. Not sure what you would put it in but even a tea or something like that for flavor. Do you think that would work. I am new to dehydrating and canning and stuff
@joycehanson9773 жыл бұрын
Sounds like a good idea 💡. Cranberry juice (and perhaps tea, too) is good for urinary tracts. It might be a good thing to have on hand. ☺
@acountrylife3 жыл бұрын
We’ve made fruit strips out of the pulp and dehydrated those. They are well liked by the kids. But I do love the idea of a powder to make tea. Even using it in cran-lemonade would be tasty.

What would be the ratio if all you have is cranberry concrete ( a can of ocean spray that you add 3 cans of water to) and not frozen or fresh cranberries

Why is my Cranberry sauce watery?
@acountrylife2 жыл бұрын
Either too much water or not enough boiling time. Also it can take 24 hours to set up completely.

Keep the kids out of the kitchen when you are doing a cooking show. It is nerve wracking for the viewer who is trying to learn.
