Да, надо общаться, я помню учила английский дома, но когда я приехала в Англию, то мой английский был ноль, пока я не стала общаться, прислушиваться, потом устроилась на работу, и везде только и слышала английскую речь. Учиться я никуда не пошла, некогда было, вот так потихоньку и научилась, сейчас конечно уже давно нет проблем с языком. Дети быстро научатся, они еще будут помогать родителям, хорошая семья, если б я там жила, обязательно помогала бы им чем могла, потому что я сама знаю, когда находишься в другой стране, не зная языка🙈🙈очень трудно, но преодолимо, запастись терпением, и все будет ОКЕЙ 👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏🙏

For me it wouldn't be that easy to go to wonderful Russia, because I am already retired. But in my heart I know, that I would be surrounded with a lot good hearted people overthere. Wow the fresh food in the supermarket brought back good memories! I have a trillion allergies against herbicides and pesticides and I also react very badly with breathing issues to gmo food and here in Germany, I need to inspect everything I put in my mouth. While I was in Russia, I was totally fine, I could eat anything and have zero reaction! I also ate at restaurants and that was a totally new life experience for me! Geez I envy you....

In Russia, there is such a thing as disease prevention. It operates under the federal health care program, according to which Russian citizens have the right to take chest scans every 6-12 months in order to detect signs of tuberculosis at the earliest stage. Основные глаголы- ходить/идти, бегать, посещать, есть, спать, болеть, хотеть, мочь и т.д. Короткие фразы на каждый день- давайте обедать, пойдем в магазин, на рынок, в аптеку, как пройти в школу, в МФЦ, сколько стоит товар и т. д. Этот простой набор будет стартом для изучения языка. Im sure you gonna like em yourself, might be even educational (language-wise). I have seen a lot of foreigners saying they have enjoyed a lot wathing them. A lot of his movies are russian classic, like "Бриллиантовая рука" (Brilliant hand), "Кавказская пленница" (Caucasian Prisoner) and "12 стульев" (12 chairs). Most of russian people watched those movies 5+ times.

Some tips on learning Russia and Turbo-accelerating your assimilation: 1. Stop saying or thinking Russian is hard - all languages have issues, some easier for us than others based on cognates and orthographies (written symbols), pronounciation, and grammar. 2. Russian is know for its difficult grammar but you are not trying to write award winning Russian novels -- so broken grammar / verb tenses will make you approachable (cute) and still understandable. 3. I would learn Cyrillic immediately -- then you can start reading - doors, signs, etc. and have a visual and cognitive anchor to hang your learning on. 4. Pimsleur - get the Russian lessons (audio) - it is all verbal - just listening. Pimsleur will get you conversational fast. 5. Supplement that with an online Russian tutor - they are cheap and everywhere. 6. Get your kids into a Russian public school asap and playing with Russian kids - even if you later homeschool - your kids will be your magnet to get you known to the community, give the community a pretext to say "hi" - because they are as shy of you as you are of them -- kids break the ice. 7. Your kids will make friends and network those will then be your wife's main contacts as she will carry a heavy burden -- kids will absorb Russian in days and weeks and help you learn the foundation of society - history, customs, culture, holidays. 8. As you are conversational, I mean, just basics, get together with some other Russian families from school or men and a bit of liquor and some back slapping goes a long way. 9. Once you have that simple foundation ,every interaction, every Russian newscast, song, movie, and conversation will build fast. Good luck! You're an inspiration!

My wife and I are researching moving to Russia. She's a Belarusian lady, so I have a translator. I do know some Russian, but not near enough. That's something I'll need to improve on no doubt. It's also a plus that we have cousins in St. Petersburg. No matter what country you want to move to you must learn the native language. I’m a Russian living in US. I’d like to share my experience. Coming to a foreign country without knowing language of that country becomes quite challenging at the beginning, it’s overwhelming at first but in my case I’ve listened to an advise of one of a guy I used to work with. I asked him in a broken English how I could learn English faster. He told me to watch more movies, so I did . In a year I could speak decently, at least people could understand me. If you watch TV you won’t understand much at first but you’ll pick up as I call it the melody of a language it’s like a tuning your ear, a good training. Get a Russian-English dictionary and keep it at hand. Learn few useful words and phrases every day use it when you have an opportunity and slowly but surely you will learn Russian. It is hard at the beginning but gets easier believe me. Good luck❤

I soak fish in milk or buttermilk and herbs for a few hours; believe it or not. Drain the milk, beat 2 eggs and pour over the fish. Add bread crumbs to a bowl, lightly dredge the fish, and cook in a small amount of oil. Look on google or youtube for recipes

Анисса, в России конечно же есть большие упаковки подгузников, салфеток и т.д. Просто их надо покупать в специализированных детских магазинах, например, в "Детском мире". А вообще, сейчас большинство россиян не ходят в магазины, а заказывают все онлайн на маркетплейсах (ozon, wildberries). Там есть все: от больших упаковок памперсов до холодильников с двумя дверцами)).

And the best thing of the West is that you can talk about problems in your country and vote for people who you think are capable to deal with those problems. Yes, West politicians can be not good, can make mistakes and lie. But you, I mean people can vote and argue about them, can change them and try some other people. So, you are not afraid to be killed or go to the prison if you do not agree with current Parliament or president. You can influence their decisions. In Russia you can only say that Putin is great, you love him, his decisions and you are happy to die in Ukraine for him. You are not allowed to talk about corruption, madness of the war, about failures of the government, you can't vote for people who have similar views and opinions, you can go to jail for you pacifist values, you do not have any chance to affect Putin's decision and make him pay for his crimes. The whole country is in his hands and people are more like slaves who pay taxes and can't say anything against his poor actions. So, you may not like West and you can live there and tell others about it. But you can not live in Russia and say loudly that you do not support it's regime.

Многие из них в свое время были новаторскими и до сих пор сиотрятся современно и необычно. У СССР была задача-вырастить нового человека- смелого, благородного, доброго, бескорыстного. Мультики: Чебурашка и Гена, Карлсон, Котенок Гав, Варежка, Простоквашино, Антошка, Жил был пес, Аленький цветочек, Пластелиновая ворона, Ежик в тумане (шедевр мировой мультипликации), Бобренок Чука, Непослушный козленок, Голубой щенок (музыкальный шедевр), мультфильмы грузинской студии. Я понимаю, что у вас религиозные убеждения, но эти мультики никак не научат ничему плохому, но помогут понять вам и вашим детям страну и людей, потому что мы все выросли на них и на этих ценностях

And a country that are not liked by many in the West. Because of SMO/War in Ukraine. And all the false rumors about Russia. I would love to visit Russia. I live in a neighbour country. Where most doesnt like Russia or care to visit. I think they have a beutyfull country and nice buildings with some style on em. Im a country guy my self not a faan of citys. So i like to drive around in farm towns and so on. Someday i hope i get a chance to get there sadly our border to Russia is closed. много иностранцев приехали в Россию и мало кто из них знал русский. Они его освоили в общении. чем больше вы общаетесь с местным населением, тем проще вам будет выучить язык. Потому, что идет привязка слов и фраз сразу к ситуации. А так же сразу произношение вы слышите. Просто общайтесь с местным населением чаще. Детям наберите "советские мультфильмы " в ютубу. выберите им мультики хорошие. они быстро выучат.

В любом крупном городе есть оптовые базы, это магазины торгующие крупным оптом, но так же и мелкий опт. Попросите ваших русских знакомых помочь вам найти такие оптовые базы, потому что они как правило находятся не в центре города. Там и сможете делать сразу крупные закупки, как бытовые товары( салфетки, подгузники и тому подобное), так и продукты. Не стесняйтесь, спрашивайте.

It is the big stores that sell big packs of everything, it is the big stores that are designed for bulk buying, you should not look for big packs in small stores designed for daily buying. My goodness. The difference between Russia and the West when it comes to immigration. We in the West have done away with caution and can't wait to start throwing money and citizenship to anyone who makes it across our borders. Regarding casual social interaction. I am surprised you haven't heard it before: Russians do not engage in small talk with or smile at strangers, it would be considered very odd (foreigners are given a pass since they don't know better). Being "nice" in a Western way is not part of what Russian consider good manners, in fact, it's viewed as being fake ("why are you smiling at me, you don't even know me?") The flip side is that when someone does smile at you, they truly, really mean it and are not just going through the motions.

Not knowing the language is indeed a huge hinderance! I emigrated to the UK in my late teens, I could speak very basic school English, but really struggled. So I started with children's cartoon magazines and listened to the radio a LOT and always had a dictionary with me. Keep going, keep using words that you know, and remember you can learn Russian online, there are tons of teachers who are able to help.

99% people abroad think about Russia as about dangerous, evil, dark country. These guys do their noble modest contribution to change that opinion. They do right things. Don't discourage them, please. They drop one additional spill of truth in ocean of evil fakes about Russia.

Only people who are in professional army and signing a contract and go through the special training are fighting, there are not conscripts on the frontlines.
