Matt, my friend, I love all the instruction, could you break down how you strum without a pick, like finger placement and what hits the string and when? This is good for new beginners.

I always catch the bottom two strings on the up strums.

at what point do you need to upgrade your equipment, as a long-time beginner? For example, I have an entry level Ibanez accoustic (roughly $400 model). I know you recommend the Taylor mini and so I've been keeping an eye out for one. But will that matter much if I'm not good yet? lol
