Now I have a way to heat the workshop doesn't use electricity and it will work better during these cold times better than the Heat pump I currently am using to heat the shop.
The Flexible gas line is CSST - Corrugated Stainless Steel Tubing. And it really easy to use.

Hi Evan and Rebecca, just a quick message from an avid fan of yor channel from England. Firstly I love your honesty, when you make a mistake you don't edit it out which helps others to not make the same mistake. I'm also really impressed that you can both work full time jobs AND give all the animals the attention and care they deserve before freezer camp. Keep up the great work, I look forward to every video you post. All my best wishes for the future, Neil ❤❤❤

You should probably buy a couple of wifi carbon monoxide detectors. Don't know if you have any smart home devices that you can use with the detector. If not there are plenty of detectors on the market that will provide a notification to your phones. Don't know if the automatic propane shut off valves designed for RV's will work in your situation You probably need an automatic shut off if you're at work

Looks like a job well done. However, I would recommend a strap be added to the top of the heater in the kennel to prevent the dogs from accidentally tipping it over. And with the one in the workshop I would add a screw at the bottom of the unit to make sure it isn't accidentally lifted off of it's mounting bracket. ( It'll also come in handy at holding things in place in case of an earthquake. 😏)

They are running fine. It is keeping the shop at 51 degrees on the lowest setting. I have used these type heaters in the past to heat my attached garage when I lived in town. I never had any issues. Just have to blow the dust out them and clean before starting them up in the winter.

You are amazing at everything you do. You explain each step and you show what to do. With you showing it, it would not be hard to learn. The project was neatly placed from traffic so no damage would occur, great thing to do. To cover the pipe on the wall be great with no distractions. Very professional job well done. I know the dogs will love the warmth you provided for them. Glad you got heat for the barn and right on time. Thanks for sharing. Be safe and keep. Bye for now from Alabama. I'm sure not trying to tell you how to do your job, but you might consider checking out the installation instructions. I've installed CSST multiple times. From the mfg instructions I believe you need to run a solid copper ground wire (lightning strikes pop holes in the stainless tubing) for that system. I hope you take this as it was meant to be- just a little helpful advice. I really enjoy your channel. Thank you.

Great video Evan, you’re a talented guy. I must say that I’m very envious of you because I see you do these types of projects with solar, electrical and now this propane heater installation without pulling any permits and getting it inspected. In my area around Seattle we’d have to get a permit for so many of the projects you do. You’re so lucky.

Have a great day (my original comment follows this) Wow was this filmed recently in Texas? I don’t think we have seen snow in north Texas about 30 miles west of Sulphur Springs. Great job as usual. You seem to have all the skills - electrical, plumbing, pipe work and others. It is amazing to see your skill. I put that same gas heater in my mother in laws house in north Dallas and it has worked well for 10 years or more. Great job. You have skills in putting this together and producing interesting videos. God Bless from north Texas.

Evan, I used to work for the company that imported the CSST hose from South Korea. We leak tested every hose and assembled all of the fittings like you used. Most of the time, this hose was run through a structure, through the framework, and steel plates attached to the 2 x 4’s in front of the hose as a nail stop. We use to sell to Menards and Lowes.

hey Evan, can i suggest that when running gas piping, to install the shut off valve before the "T" instead of in the "branch" line as you did. that way when it comes time to clean out the debris in the "DEAD LEG or DIRT LEG" or when service is needed on the appliance, you can shut off the gas local to the work needed instead of the main gas line. also i commented a while back that it would have been better to install a ground mount for the solar so snow can be removed from it without climbing up onto the shop roof. stay warm up there in the cold country. jim in central florida
