Why would they be without uranium? There are other places to get it. Australia has the largest uranium deposits in the world. The fact that France got uranium from African countries in the past doesn't mean they can't get it somewhere else. Australia has a stable government, stable economy, recognized currency, and there would be less need for security. It might cost a little more to ship but the money France would save by ending aid to Africa would cover that.
