Really lovely and affordable. It lacks nothing. Love the bathtub! So many tiny houses now are super expensive which I think is counterintuitive. If you’re spending a fortune you might as well buy a house with land. This looks way more expensive than 35K. The beautiful deck adds more living space. It’s very comfortable. Brilliant!

Exactly, I am not at all interested in a tiny house that costs as much or more than a home on land....people should really think first before paying that much. I'm a RE Appraiser and with no land...the value goes down rapidly like a vehicle...its a depreciating asset. In additon, very hard to find a place to park it permenantly

This is without a doubt, one of the best tiny house builds on youtube... and I've dozens and dozens of them from the super popular to up-and-coming channels. It's kinda my Netflix :) I took notes... I think the price is a typo though (: ...Details were refined to function well. I've never seen a foot petal for water nor an office with a real life window under the stairs before :D Not to mention a sunken tub and a bed that you can actually stand in! Pure GENIUS!!! I really like everything about their design. I'd need a W/D (hate laundromats) but seems that is a possibility. I really like the murphy bed, very perfect design with places for clothing, books and a lamp. Our biggest project was a camper van conversion. Although we had been married for ten years it certainly put our relationship under a lot of challenges. Ian was the builder and I was the suggestioner. We eventually got there, even though there are still changes happening to the van, but the relationship strengthened in the knowledge that we did it together. Ok, I suggested more than I did, but he is a wonderful wise man who learned that a happy wife was certainly a good life.🤣

Two things: 1) the biggest sources of moisture in a tiny home are metal siding, poor ventilation, and those that sweat (everybody). First two are easy fixes when constructing a home. 2) They could build a platform as part of the underside of the Murphy bed for a murphy sofa platform. And incorporate footrests/coffee table well as part of the bed support. They incorporated a great amount of value, and it's being without a loft bed is super.
@beautifulcrazy3 жыл бұрын
I think if you build yourself, your blood, sweat and tears are in the build giving off good energy. I'm hopeful of the future for the new generation who are moving away from the system to live more intentionally. I like this home because tiny house living is about energy efficiency, and spatial minimalism and working on a tiny budget. What is the point of moving from a big house to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on a tiny house. It's about cutting out the consumerism and living simply. Congratulations guys! You should be proud of it; it's one of the best thought out tiny homes I've ever seen. Love the design. I think I'd want a slightly longer home (2 feet) to accomodate a sofa (in three pieces that slide out of the way on casters - flip down brakes - leaving two seat on both sides - I'd make those drawer end tables a bit more deep so they could act as end tables when in couch mode - or a single piece in the middle the size of the bed width) and fold down table (an art piece) in front on the murphy bed. (A loveseat on casters would fit with the current design. When putting the bed down, you could shove it in front of the doorway as you'd still have egress through the back door.) That way there'd still be floor space but also additional working space. But more because I'm disabled and so getting up and down from the floor would be a challenge (and they'd also provide more storage. Love the desk under the stairs as well. Your kitchen is so well thought out and combined with the storage around the bed and outdoor storage means you've probably got a lot of the storage you need.
@RockinCowgirl10003 жыл бұрын
I thought of some of your suggestions too. I thought the end tables should've been the size of the whole drawer. I would've went with a fold up couch or chairs because I have some knee arthritis and getting up off the floor is not fun. But they seem to be in pretty good shape, probably doesn't bother them, haha! Also, she made a big deal about how they don't use much electricity, but then you see the stove is propane and heat is wood. Think it would've been easier to just hook it up to electric, unless it's real expensive where they live, there's a lot of outages or they don't want to be dependent on the grid. Could solve that with a solar panel on the roof.
@NilZed13 жыл бұрын
I would have upholstered the bottom of the bed and placed a large ottoman in front to create a more comfortable fake sofa when the bed is closed. The depth of the ottoman and height of the upholstered section designed so that you slide the ottoman forward to sit under the foot of the bed at night. It wouldn't be supporting the bed, but a snug fit. I also think that I would have designed a cubby and a bit of a slide out surface in the side cabinets to serve as a side table/night stand.

They should put that big pillow on the floor in front of the Murphy bed in front of the head board/closet doors so they can sit up in bed comfortably and maybe read a book, watch tv? Then build a storage bench in front of the Murphy bed where the cushion was on the floor not too high so u can still open the bed fully when u take the cushion off and use as a head board cushion. Then when the bed is up more seating for people while your cooking because u said u like to hang out with people in the kitchen. Does that sound good? Maybe even a foldable bench u can slide under the bed? Lovely house💜❤️💜❤️👍😊

Something to be proud of, while providing a more independent space that belongs to you.That has to be liberating! Lots of great ideas! One suggestion that I would try...I would make the murphy bed a half-murphy bed. I would make it so that the bottom half folds up and over the top half, forming a couch. That way, they would still have floor space, a place to sit, a hidden bed, and access to the shelf space behind. Just an idea. Anyway, love the house. Hope they continue to enjoy it together.

I love the murphy bed, the kick drawers in the kitchen, the drip pan/shelving system for drying dishes, the bathtub, the bathroom sink, their outdoor space, and the list goes on. I'd prefer a flushing toilet that's hooked up to sewer, since it looks like they're pretty well set in that spot, but I guess you can't win them all. Great job!

Love your tiny home and all the great features you have put into place both inside and outside your home. You seem like a great couple and should be extremely proud of all you have accomplished in your build process. I also love all of the outside privacy you have. You seem likely a lovely couple and I wish you both a great future together. ❤❤❤

The bathroom is my favorite. I love the sink basin and the tub surrounded by windows.

This is by far the most best tiny i have seen. Lot of space and still a snugg when the bed is down...looks light and everything is usable. Nice job😊

I really love that your site shows tiny homes that are affordable. Most homes are over $100k which doesn’t make as much sense to me if your going tiny. I’m saving these videos and will be reaching out to your company when I’m ready to build. I just hope Georgia comes around and starts to allow tiny homes.
