When my husband and I met, I was 18 and he was 23. He proposed 6 months after we met and we married 1 year after we met. We’ve been married 2.5 years now, together 3.5 years. I’ve gone through so much in my life but in my marriage, I’ve been nothing but blessed. He taught me how to drive and I taught him how to budget. He helps encourage me to value myself and I show him how to keep his chin up. We support each other endlessly and show each other how to like living when it’s hard. If adults are consenting and share power equally and cherish one another, age differences don’t matter. It all depends on the people and situation. He wasn’t ready to be the man he was at 23, back when he was 18. So if we had been the same age when we met, we wouldn’t have been right for each other anyway. We are the person we were meant to be at exactly the time we were meant to and we meet the people we were meant to meet at exactly the time we were meant to. And that’s just fine.🌈
