I absolutely love this home. even the open shelfs have been decorated in such an upscale way. That upstairs loft is such a nice idea and easy for anyone of any age to get in. I always like a downstairs bedroom,but at 66 I would be spending a lot of time up there. That is young in these days.

I'm a Floridian and as soon as the video began, I knew it was Florida! What a unique story they have! The trauma of having a home destroyed by a hurricane was a big reason for wanting a tiny house. Being able to move their house to safety is a comfort to them. The reduced cost of living then allowed them to start a bakery, which is now funding the next step in their journey. They'll be able to buy their own land, build a house and keep the tiny house! This was such an enjoyable video! God bless you all! ❤

Sweet couple with sweet animals love that old poodle god love it 16 years old that is amazing !. The tiny is nicely laid out and practical beautiful property at the water , very Nice of Meredith's parents to help them get started by giving them the spot to park this on. Really like the main floor bedroom good size bed and cozy at that , I always have loved the stair cases to a loft where theirs is located , Your Nerd room is nice Cody, Blessings for you folks and your beautiful animals always be safe in the storms . I couldn’t think of a better layout. I was really disappointed that it didn’t appear to have a living room but love the way the have that set up. I always like the bathroom before the bedroom so people don’t walk through the bedroom to get to the bedroom.

How about adding a area rug big enough to cover the bare floor. A rug would make sitting on the floor cozier. It would also be nice for your animals to lounge on when you are all upstairs together. Just a suggestion. Thanks for sharing. Very nice home

I absolutely LOVE-LOVE-LOVE how they consider switching to an incinerating toilet an UPGRADE!!! Anytime I see a tiny home with a standard flush toilet (and all the attendant excuses for not going with compost/dry or incinerating) I cringe. Wish these sorts of alternative toilets would gain more traction! Water is NOT an infinite resource!

Water does always get recycled, you know, so no need to cringe too much. Toilets don't "use up" nor "destroy" water; it all gets recycled by some method. It just needs to get cleaned up in the process, and there are many ways to do that. Indoor plumbing is "nice." This couple might be on the old home's septic tank which naturally breaks down sewage using bacteria and distributes the water just beneath the surface of the ground. Waters the lawn from beneath and hurts nothing. That's very common for people who aren't on a municipal sewage treatment system. Wanting to be able to go off-grid requires a different kind of toilet, but water is not a scarce resource in Florida or many other places. (Nevada may be different.) The water cycle (third grade science class) is still in play. Just sayin'... I'd also guess incineration would have to involve some amount of air pollution, especially if hundreds of millions of people started using that method of waste disposal, so that's probably not a good solution on a large scale.

I like the layout, especially a main floor bedroom! Did I miss how they plan to move it if there is a hurricane? Because neither of their vehicles can pull it. If they want to be completely off grid, they might want to rethink that Cinderella toilet. @vanwives recently made a video about their experience being fully off grid with the Cinderella and the company who makes it that they should check out before they make that change.

Thanks for sharing! We’ll have to check that out. Regarding emergency evacuation, they plan to put their breakables in bathtub and hookup their THOW to tow away. They have a couple inland locations in mind to ride it out, depending on severity of the storm. 👌
