I notice that with polyamorous relationships when it’s a man and more than one woman, other women observing the relationship tend to opine about the man being self centered or manipulative or selfish. I really wonder if the situation was reversed and it was one woman and more than one man, would women have the same observations about that polyandrous woman. And please don’t retort by saying “well there are no 1 woman, 2 men throuple because there are.

I saw the comments, and while Josh can be a jerk I feel like this snippet doesn't portray their issues well. The girl on the right is Josh's anchor partner. She introduced him to being poly, and it almost felt like because she traveled with the circus (or whatever) for work, she kind of used being poly to have a good time. Now she's done traveling and wants to settle in, but he met the girl on the left, and really likes her. The girl on the left is used to having a rhythm with Josh because while she is his only partner outside his anchor, the girl on the left is actually in other relationships but they don't show those people because it isn't about them.

Poly relationships are so amusing to me. It’s so clear that most men in these relationships want to have their cake and eat it too. they have little emotional intelligence and little to give ANYONE, so the little they do have, they stretch between multiple people. Then they struggle more with jealousy, resentment, reduced quality time etc trying to meet the multidimensional needs of women. Then they add more people in the mix to occupy their dissatisfaction with each other. Lord help them lol.
@phoebeel2 ай бұрын
Sometimes I think that poly guy who are hetero are really just in it for more attention and babying. Rarely, I see a FMF relationship that seems healthy. They're all still so deep in heteronormativity that it's basically just a glorified harem. Poly probably works if you have a woman in the middle or a real queer relationship between three people - either with lesbian women or queer men. Because they don't use the female partners as ego boosters.
