@lynnecarnivale64143 жыл бұрын
In my family, we laugh about that actual phrase...because many years ago, my husband's great-great grandmother fell and had to be put into a nursing home after surgery at age 98! She was blind and very witty and with it. The staff at the nursing home came into her room as my husband sat beside her. They wanted her to know how great the place was and how many activities she could enjoy. She wasn't interested...nor could she participate in most of it. When the gentleman (staff) was about to leave, he said a few more words since she wasn't saying anything. Finally, Nanny said, "Are you done... because I know you were paid to say that!" 😏 LOL! The gentleman was SHOCKED! He had no idea that "Nanny" was aware at age 98 of the craziness he was talking about. (Talking about all the fun she would have...oh my.) She was so cute and funny. She told me and my husband while in the hospital the day of the fall..."Nothing to do? You might as well fall!" 😉 Nanny lived much longer and passed away at 100 years and one week after, she passed away, peacefully. So yes, we always say "ARE YOU DONE?" We laugh immediately. Funny memory of how fiesty Nanny was. Hope you enjoyed my novel, lol. *GOD BLESS YOU!* Peace, Lynne 🍃💜🍃

When my work schedule changed due to a promotion, we worked around that to where I had to drop my daughter off on my weekday nights due to an early work day. It’s called being an adult. 0:38 "She told him if she was more than half an hour late, he forfeits his weekend" 0:58 Judge-"You led me to believe it was happening". No, she didn't. He probably raced over to make sure he wasn't 30 mins late so it didn't happen. She did not lead you to believe anything. She said that the mom had threatened him. This judge started out with bias against the female attorney.

Right! That’s what I was thinking. Like seriously why does she hate the mom so much and taking it so personally.

She should find a new profession because at one point, a guy on the internet thought she might be dating her client? In that case, why dont you stop making comments due to the fact that while I was reading your comment I realized how stupid it was?

@@DrummerJacob if you aren't a woman, you don't know how telling it is to see a woman trying to hide her personal vitriol against another woman, especially if that Wan thinks she's a better substitute. My ex-wife and I were in bed standing for the first six months of our divorce. As soon as we went to court and saw some of the other parents, we quickly realized what was best for our children and started working toward a better relationship. The judge exists in this courtroom to ensure the best possible outcome for the child. PERIOD!

While I think that attorney made it too much about herself, the judge also seemed uninterested in actually hearing much about about the situation beyond seemingly not liking the attorney. Also I can completely believe there is a double standard with regard to language used by male and female attorneys.
@rationallyruby3 жыл бұрын
Totally agree! I think the lawyer had a point but the judge didn’t care. I think there’s some unknown personal or work history with the lawyer and judge which sort of makes it a conflict of interest, that being said I think the lawyer handled herself poorly but there’s definitely a double standard. Still also think the judge made good points.
