WELCOMING OUR BABY GIRL INTO THE WORLD

Hey Lovelies!!
It is with great pleasure, we introduce to the world, our new baby girl! Carson Elizabeth Brandon. She was born on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at 3:52PM weighing 7lbs 11oz and measuring 19.5 inches. My water broke around 3:30AM the morning of the 27th. We took some time to prepare for what could be a long haul. I showered, gathered a few things, and began timing my contractions. We arrived to the hospital around 4:30AM and were admitted fairly quickly. Around 7AM the attending physician came in and began to administer petocin. Over the next 11 or so hours it became a battle between the petocin and Carson. Carson’s heart rate would dip and the nurses would come in and flip me. Carson’s hear rate would stabilize and be fine but occasionally would dip. Shortly after 3PM Carson’s heart rate dropped to the point where it was deemed necessary to perform an immediate C-Section. Needless to say the C-Section went well and we welcomed our new baby girl into the world and couldn’t be happier. We are so deeply in love with her and cannot wait to spend the rest of our lives with her.

So happy everything turned out ok 👍🏻 I got so worried when the heart rate slowed with contractions- that’s what happened to me. Unfortunately the ambilicalcord was wrapped around his neck which cut off oxygen. He was diagnosed with autism because of it. He’s a happy 32 yr old now although mentally he will always be 10 yrs old. Don’t mean to rain on your parade, just so happy you had a great experience with no bumps. She is a beautiful gift from Heaven 🙏🏻👼🏻

I am so grateful that we are having babies in a time when c-sections are possible. When I saw how healthy and big she was it reminds me of my first born...he was 4kg and 3 weeks early. He was also an emergency c-section and the realisation that one or both of us would have died if this happened 100 years ago was sobering! So glad you are both doing well!
