This girl should be getting more attention, i used to watch her pairing with Nita Strauss in the iron maidens, and for some reasons Nita got the spolight when i though it would have been Courtney's, she seems to me a better player, dont get me wrong Nita is hell of a player too, but Ms Cox is way more accurate and her abbilitie to mimic or cover guitar solos is beyond amazing. Like i said, she deserves more attention.

I remember back in 1999/2000 when I discovered Soilwork - being blown away by their riffs and playing. Then I saw their music video for "As We Speak" a few years later and that's where I saw a Caparison guitar for the first time - have always thought they were such cool looking guitars ever since. A metal machine.

I CAN REALLY RELATE TO THE SEQUENCE OF COMMENTS MADE IN THIS VIDEO that begins at the 2:19 time-counter mark. The best way to learn how to play riffs, chord-progressions, etc., in a song - , is to find "live"-recorded videos of the musician/band playing the particular song, and decipher what they are playing _FROM THOSE VIDEOS_ . Admittedly, there are _some_ excellent "how-to-play/tutorial" videos on KZbin - , but all-too-often those are wrong on at-least a few points. As Nick stated in this interview, "Find a video of the musician that _actually PLAYED the song_ , not a video of someone who _thinks_ that he is playing it correctly". You may have to watch and _study_ those videos for numerous viewings, and even make extensive use of the slowed-down "Speed" control incorporated into the KZbin play-box; but at-least then (if you are at-all accomplished at deciphering another person's playing) you will probably be more likely to ultimately conclude a thoroughly accurate version of the song. Finally, if you _do_ watch "how-to-play" videos of songs, I recommend that viewing _multiple_ tutorials of a given song can be especially helpful. Sometimes one uploader may present most of a song accurately, but miss some part - , and then some other uploader may make _other_ mistakes, but get correct that part that the first presenter got wrong.

@ClusterFugue Жыл бұрын
Thank you for this. I was racking my brain trying to remember his superhero origin story. I never got into Grim Reaper and know pretty much zero about them but Nick seems like a genuinely cool cat and is a beast of a guitarist. I've run across a few lessons he did here on YT and he's the genuine article. Also, he confirmed for/to me that one of the oldest and most successful guitar teachers on YT has at least one glaring faux pas in pretty much every lesson he's published and that it's not just me and/or my ears. So yeah, strangely enough I'd consider myself a fan of Nick's even though I'm totally ignorant of Grim Reaper.
