The difference in fame and notoriety between these two doesn't even factor into how humble and relatable they both are. Nita jamming on the biggest stages in front of the biggest crowds while Mary is this grass roots YT musician. Yet they both seem so approachable. Great interview. Great connection.
@tritontransport Жыл бұрын
Your post is a couple years old but i met Nita Strauss a week ago and your assumption that she is approachable is very accurate. She is humble, down to earth, and has a good sense of humor as well: I’ve met quite a few rock and metal stars and she has by far been the most laid back and genuine one ever

Super cool! Nita rocks and is super hot and super cool. Nice to see a player that not only has the skills to shred but is down to earth and humble- no arrogance at all. Two genuine cool ladies in the industry talking about their experiences. Nice.
@MICKEYISLOWD6 жыл бұрын
Skills? Hmmm. C'mon we all know she is a bit crap compared to a good guitar player. I can play far better than she does and I don't consider myself to be great and certainly wouldn't expect anyone to give me money through a Patreon account which is really just scrounging money as you are not giving anything back of any worth. Nita was right on the ball when that part of the conversation spiked MONEY MONEY MONEY in her brain.

@@profd65 I have problems because I think Nita is a shit guitar player..? Well guess what...she is a shit guitar player. I don't consider myself to be a great player but I am far far better than she will ever be...lol
@profd656 жыл бұрын
@@MICKEYISLOWD You're far better? By what standard? That you can sit on the edge of your bed and run fast scales and sweep pick? Nobody gives a shit about that. Are you better than Eric Clapton too because you (and 10,000 Korean twelve year olds on KZbin) can sweep pick? Congratulations, loser: MAYBE you can parlay that skill into a job teaching guitar at a music shop...MAYBE. But the world isn't into that pyrotechnic Yngwie crap, and never has been.

Henning Pauly's vid from NAMM'18 (one of the few dozens) has him asking the Ibanez people if rosewood was a problem. The answer was no. But it obviously is for some guitar models. I have one fretboard made of roseacer. Very close to the feel of rosewood.

It's an interesting and smart choice using purpleheart. It's ranked one of the hardest and stiffest woods in the world, so having that adds plenty of durability to the neck.
