Yup, that's her. She did Hard To Handle as her audition. She's come a long way since then, she was 13 and she's now 19 and independent. Her album is coming out this year, but last year we were treated with a few singles.

You got the AGT thing correct. She was an overnight viral sensation. The video you probably watched was her audition. A song Otis Reading had wrote an performed in 68'. Courtney did later do a version of "Piece of my Heart" that Janice Joplin covered at the end of that show with The Struts. Anyway, she had lots of bad luck and timing with a bunch of stuff after getting signed right after that season of AGT ended. Others will probably go into the details about that. But she really should be a big star by now if her label and management people handled her correctly. She is now an independent and doing well releasing her own music her way. If you go and look into her you'll probably get hooked if you like her style vocally and performance on a stage. Doubt you see anyone better on stage when she gets back on a stage again. Labels kept her from doing what she loves best and that's performing while singing. She's a natural and a beast up there.

Hi Cody. Nice reaction. So cool that you came across Courtney's music. She is amazing. You would have no way of knowing after just one song, but she is truly a generational level talent. Unbelievable vocal power, control and range. You just heard what a killer rock voice she has and when she is on stage, she dominates a stage like no other. However, her vocal versatility is astounding. Courtney is equally as great across so many genres besides Rock. R&B, Funk, Soul, Ballads and more. The most incredible thing is, whatever the genre, there is never a drop off to the incredible quality of her music. Virtually all artists, even the biggest, have their comfort zone. Inside that zone, they are great, but take them outside that zone, and not so much. We've yet to see where Courtney's comfort zone ends, because she can sing virtually anything exquisitely. To hear one of her ballads is to truly appreciate what a gorgeous voice she has. 'Monsters' is a magnificent song. A true rock anthem, the likes of which we haven't heard in forever. In addition to the fabulous vocals, the incredible depth and meaning of the lyrics is a true testament to Courtney's songwriting prowess. Courtney has said that the monsters in this song are all of the insecurities and self doubts that we all wrestle with on a daily basis. In that regard, the meaning of 'Monsters' is universal. They may be different for each of us, but we all have our own personal demons. Just as an aside, 'Monsters' was just voted the 'Coolest Song of 2023' by the listeners of Steven Van Zandt's (Little Steven - Lead guitarist of Springsteen's E-Street Band) Underground Garage Sirius Radio show (1.2M listeners). To hear this song is to love it. Courtney first rose to worldwide fame (as you mentioned) when she appeared on America's Got Talent (AGT) in 2018 when she was 13. Her audition went viral and now has over 1 billion overall on line views. Courtney herself is closing in on 3 billion views. She has die-hard fans from virtually every country in the world. While on AGT, Courtney sang exclusively classic rock from the 60's and 70's by the likes of James Brown, Tina Turner and Janis Joplin. These are Courtney's true musical inspirations. Courtney was so great on AGT that she was almost immediately signed to a record deal at Syco/Arista records (Sony Music). After AGT, those that knew her from only there, viewed her as this fabulous stage dominating rocker, which she surely is. However, she is so, so much more. As I mentioned above, her range is astounding. So in 2019, she released an EP called the 'Cover Sessions' where she took some of the biggest recent hits across different genres, and re-invented them into her vision of the way the songs could have been sung. They were all sensational. The purpose was to highlight both her incredible vocal versatility and her off the charts creativity. The four songs were 'Old Town Road', Sign of the Times', 'Someone You Loved' and 'Sucker' All four of the 'Cover Session' songs are available on her KZbin channel. Suffice it to say, Courtney's versions sound nothing like the originals. She truly made them all her own. Courtney is 19 now. There have been many hurdles for her to get her original music out. First were issues with her label, where they tried to twist her into something she didn't want to be. Another pop princess. Can you imagine that magnificent voice you just heard being limited to pop. Courtney stood her ground. Then Covid hit and shut everything down for over two years. Courtney is British and travel was completely shut down from the UK to the US (where here team was) during that time. Then her label was sold, leading to whole new levels of chaos. As soon as she could, at the beginning of 2023, she walked away from her label and went independent. Since that has happened, she has already dropped five incredible originals. 'Breakable', a gorgeous, gritty ballad, 'That Girl Don't Live Here', a jazzy uptempo song with a touch of 1940's swing, 'Call Me Back', which will rip your heart out every time you hear it, this incredible rock anthem, 'Monsters' and 'Christmas Rocks', which is a fabulous new rocky Christmas tune that will simply demand that you move with it. All of her original new music is on her KZbin channel and would make for terrific next reactions. There is no other voice in music like Courtney's. Courtney has a huge song library that she has developed over the last several years, which she hasn't been able to release (as explained above), but she has shared many, in whole or part, with her fans, and they are sensational. Now that she is in control of her music, it is said to expect a new release approximately every month or two, with her long delayed debut album to drop in the first quarter of next year. You've got me as a subscriber. Can't wait for more Courtney from you.

Yes, that was her AGT performances that you must have been thinking of. She was 13 at the time of the audition, 14 for the live shows. She was on AGT Champions not long after this with an original song (you might want to check out that performance too). Around this time she signed with Syco Entertainment. Then she released an EP of four covers, simply called Courtney Hadwin: Covers. Then she did a Christmas cover of John Lennon's Happy Xmas - The War Is Over. After this, no professional releases for around 3-4 years. She did promise some songs, with some promotional material released (Keep The Monsters Away). But due to COVID, Gigs being cancelled (the 50th anniversary of Woodstock booked her amongst others). Also, her original songs were held back by the label, because they tried to change her into another generic pop princess. But, during this process, she did a lot of covers online, during covid lockdowns, Q&As, plus other things like these too keep involvement with her fans (you should check out her Quarantine cover of What's Love Got To Do With It by Tina Turner). Last year, she became independent. She released five songs throughout the year. Breakable, then That Girl Don't Live Here, Call Me Back, Monsters (the aforementioned "Keep The Monsters Away) & Christmas Rocks. She is now currently working on her premier album, which will be released hopefully in the first quarter of the year.

Welcome Back To The Wonderful World Of Courtney Hadwin! Great reaction! That's so cool how you realized who she was in the middle😃 So much has happened since then and even before then. The official video for another original song, That Girl Don't Live Here, had over a million views. Still, Monsters is the crowning achievement so far. Making the Billboard Hard Rock Digital Sales Chart, then capping off a great year with The Coolest Song in the World 2023 from Little Steven's Underground Garage on Sirius XM is nothing to sneeze at. So you're back in time to see her debut album come out early this year, and from the preview clips of some of the other songs that might be on the album, they may be even better than the 5 singles she released in 2023. Looking forward to more reactions. Liked and Subscribed.

Glad you found Ms. Courtney Hadwin! I and all of her fans absolutely LOVE IT when she rocks out singing Rock'n'Roll in her own inimitable way. She grew up watching her heroines and heroes on KZbin (Tina Turner, Etta James, Janice Joplin, James Brown, Lil' Richard, Otis Redding, Mick Jagger, and many more), trying to learn how to sing like them. How to perform onstage like them. She's 19 now, turning 20 in July, with about a dozen years of relentless hard work. That work shows in her performances. Unfortunately, we haven't gotten to see her on-stage for years now. But with her being independent again hopefully we will get that opportunity again. The music industry is quite the mess. May I suggest reacting to her original music videos for her other songs self-released this past year? Her versatility is remarkable, IMHO, as she mixes and melds styles and genres, creating her own unique music. Using her voice in whichever way she needs for each style of music as each of her songs demands, from sorrowful ballads expressing loss to upbeat romps with a serious message for the industry trying to suck her back in and remake her into yet another pop princess. I'd suggest her third song of the year, "Call Me Back" as your next reaction to our Ms. Courtney. Then follow that up with her first song self-released in Feb 2023, "Breakable" after that. Finally, see her on-stage with an audience, with a performance that is SHOW-READY for later that year (2019) when she would be scheduled as the youngest performer at the 50th Anniversary of Woodstock festival in August 2019. It would have been GLORIOUS!! But the festival got canceled. So her performance on AGT: The Champions is the last time we got to see her in a BIG venue with a BIG audience. That audience, by the way, gave her THREE standing ovations: first, when she simply walked out on-stage (she was BACK after being dropped in 6th spot the prior fall rather than winning as most everyone had assumed would happen); second, when she completed her performance; and the third and final time, when she answered AGT judge Howie Mandel's question about what song she had just sung, as he hadn't recognized it, when she told him it was an original, everyone was clapping and whistling and back on their feet AGAIN, for the third time in that one appearance. These are all VERY DIFFERENT kinds of songs, united by both her musical tastes and that incredible voice. Enjoy! You are right! She earned a golden buzzer on AGT. She did about five performances on AGT and did at least five shows in Vega as part of AGT, has done four live covers in an album, and, in 2023, she released five different audio or videos of which this is one. We are hoping to get an original album this year (2024) so all who do her reactions will know who she is. Her followers are expecting her to take off in popularity this year.

Yo dude!!! I saw Courtney on AGT. She has come a long way since then. Her style of music is really not my cup of tea but I respect the talent she has. I wish her a long prosperous future with her music. It's me again...going to bother you about reacting to MARCIN. The best fingerstyle guitarist in the world 🎸. His talent is more than just a talent. It is a gift from another planet. You are going to be so amazed. I'm starting you off by requesting very nicely for you to react to his version of MOONLIGHT SONATA on one acoustic guitar 🎸. It's one of his more mild ones...just so you can see the talent. His hands blur in parts of the song...so freaking fast!! Anyway, I feel the whole world needs to see this young kid and what he can do. I believe he is 19 in the video. Here's the link... kzbin.info/www/bejne/bJi0aKBmmJmFm6ssi=pz43sz5sw8Gj6bkm Thanks my friend! You are amazing! Sending you love from Texas!! ❤
