hey! this is totally mostly correct although court and shayne both said in a podcast a few years ago that they were fine with the shippers, and court reiterated this on her channel in 2022, they both think it's fun. the line was placed where their behaviour becomes stalker-ish which is what court didn't condone. :)

I’m definitely curious how long they liked each other before going out. They said in the smosh mouth that we sometimes “find something that wasn’t there” in terms of us going back to videos and looking for Easter eggs. I agree. My husband was my platonic best friend for years before a switch flipped and we fell in love. Like I made this man a tinder and set him up with some of my friends, and we’d consult each other about our love lives (and anything else). Even our then-significant others were never threatened by our friendship. Just normal best friend things without any underlying motives. Then, one simple moment changed all of that. Now I think back and I can recall times where there were definitely sparks but we’d brush it off as nothing. Our relationship as friends was and still is more important to me than a romantic relationship, and I would rather have him in my life platonically than risk a failed romance and potentially losing him altogether. I’m glad I took a chance and married my best friend, but hoohoo, that initial decision was not an easy one haha 😅😂
