Northern Ireland would be a First-Fast objective. Once taken the US can deploy shorter ranged assets, C-130, F-15/16/35, drones and set up a radar picket. Then it would be a matter of when the US wanted to strike. Also, The Navel repair schedule is only in peace time. In a war footing, repair schedules are stretched out over a longer period, and only when necessary. Once Northern Ireland is secured it would then be used as a staging and recovery location.

Lets just put it this way, no other country wants to find out why the U.S. doesnt have universal healthcare 😂. Our military and technology, and sheer quantity of it all is truly terrifying. I always say,if I've gotta be somewhere in a time of war,its going to be USA. Our country might seem divided at times, but nothing would cause unison more than the idea of someone invading our homes. We might have a joke of a president, but hes not the only one that can initiate war 😊. Love to the rest of the world 🎉

Binkov gives the Brit’s far too much credit, 6 months to own the sky? And sea…nah it would be weeks at most, and that’s best case for the Brit’s. I’m not doubting they’d fight like hell, it doesn’t matter if you fight hard these days, not in the open, against the weapons we have. Well. Doesn’t matter best as much, as they don’t kiss, unless a failure in equipment, or gross user failure. They simply don’t have the numbers, with pretty equal tech and training in most cases, some of each better on each side, their navy Woukd last days at most, as wanna know how’d we open up? Mass B-2 raid, and other stealth aircraft we have, to take out as many ships and runways/planes, sub/bases as we could. Knocking out most in the initial strike, with conventional bombers and aircraft not long behind. Air Force times with Navy birds and cruise missiles, plenty of jamming. And decoys. And all of the tomahawks known to man, to precede the fixed wing, conventional birds, to take out any remains runways/aircraft on the ground radar, communication hubs, infrastructure and govt buildings, barracks, motor pools, etc. we would severely damage their military in the opening salvo. While gutting their government and infrastructure in the first hours of combat, including police and fire stations. Power plants, bridges. Rail yards, ports. Any major distribution center related to the government major broadcast centers of any kind. Cells and and any server farms/major satellites. All that would fall to a massed initial strike, and any aircraft that survived and scrambled, would be shot down, no matter how good the plane or pilot is, they don’t have the numbers to stand up to that, each plane in the air could and would meet up to dozens missiles over the first and last mission. Let alone try to hit our ships? Good luck, they would be able to damage some, maybe sink a couple. But only at the cost of all attacking aircraft lost, at that ratio they’d run out of aircraft and munitions before we ran out of sustainable, deployed ships. At that point we’d go ham with even more cruise missiles and constant bombing…eliminating anything that uniformed and cohesive, aka military and government. Their subways? Knocked out with bunker busters, to prevent fast. Mad movement of men and material. It’d be ugly and we’d likely take pretty high losses in the non stealth aircraft, but we’d wind the air and sea battle, effectively in the opening day. At least at strategic level. It’d take a number of weeks, at most to finish off all air and naval power while still striking at government and infrastructure targets, fully crippling them and blinding them. Then we could do as we please more or less, we’d rock heavy. Every assault ship. Probably 8 carriers then. Most of our escorts, for fire support of landings….and a whole bunch of marines. Woth every AF jet we could get there, staggered in waves, of course probably ti match as best as we could the cycle time of carriers and their planes endurance. And all the sea lift ships in an armada. Timed with airborne right before, or even during/after the first landings, to maximize troops on the ground. And give them months of supplies at that point, especially considering losses. Doing that. We could have closer to 50k in the first day or two…with a small influx at a slow, low level for the next few weeks, then another surge. At least until we took an airport and repaired it, which we would, then the troop funnel would begin, and expand. And if we weren’t playing nice. Then be pacified and co-operate. Or die. It would take months to fully invade and pacify. But they’d be without a governs or formed. Uniformed military that whole time after a few days at the beginning.

Only problem with this, it doesnt take into account how we wage war. First thing we would do, is send a few hundred Tomahawk missiles to every radar station, command center, etc before any conventional forces were even en route. Then we have the ability to send a division or two on a nonstop flight into the airspace to drop them wherever we wanted a foothold (not taking into account the tier one forces who would already be there). We would send F-117s from the US to Iraq and back on non stop in flight fueled trips during the 90s... Plus all of their estimates on "deployment" times arent accounting, again, for how we wage war. Then he showed that the C-130 (most) cant be refueled mis aid which is also false. We actually have C-130 tankers as well as the KC-10 🤣Thankfully the odds of any war between the US and UK is about as high of a chance of us going to war with Canada. Would take the world flipped on its head for that day to come.

@@JoannDavi the two countries in your example was never a part of some imperial takeover. Afghanistan and Iraq could be argued as such. Germany and Japan were not occupied until after signing an unconditional surrender.
