It's pretty obvious from the conversation they had when he referenced a 12-year-old that there's something not right with him. And it was probably really hard for his family to hear this stuff about him. But I don't believe anything about him being violent towards her. He was super creepy but that doesn't mean he deserved to be murdered and no matter how bad they try to make him look, that fact doesn't change. She is a psychopath

What you all seem to miss is that Jodie knew this. Meaning Travis never lead her on. She even mentioned about how they are going to marry different people in this phone conversation. Go back and listen to that. She still consented to this and were friends with benefits pretty much. But since she’s a woman you automatically accuse the guy of “using” her!

He raped her? I don’t think Jodi Arias is a normal person, but I don’t think Travis was either. Both toxic. I’m sad for the family that they had to listen to this. He didn’t deserve to be killed, but he was involved with a crazy crazy woman…….
@HopefulInterventions

I agree☝️But it’s just a figure of speech! Travis wasn’t perfect obviously but who is. We all have our flaws and say things without thinking especially when he was the only one who didn’t know that he was being secretly recorded by cunning Jodie.
@shughl1
@shughl1 28 күн бұрын
The playing of the explicit conversation between them was the prosecution's strategy in exposing Arias in that their relationship was not as she alleges, that being explosive, abusive in which she was forced to engage in degenerative bahaviour and was not forthcoming and was the vanilla one in the relationship. The recordings, along with explicit pictures, showed that there was mutual cooperation between them and that Arias, who recorded the conversations and took the pictures, was often the instigator. So, it might seem tacky but it was actually crucial in Martinez, et all in proving their point in court.
@shughl1
@shughl1 28 күн бұрын
So although the defense used the recordings and introduced them, the prosecution leveraged them and it proved to be Arias's undoing in the proceedings.

The defense initially submitted this phone conversation into evidence but the prosecution flipped it around and used it as leverage against her. Showing that she was clearly very comfortable with him, not showing any signs of fear or abuse, etc. It doesn't seem like anything useful to anyone at first until you realize how Martinez used it against her. And as much as I agree, the family shouldn't have had to listen to this, but they could have left the courtroom for this portion.

Ryan walker is someone who was shot by a similar gun and he survived and sat thru a whole interrogation where police thought he was a suspect they didn't notice for awhile that he had been shot in the face. There was no exit point for the bullet (same as Travis) I think of the fact Jodi used a small gun I believe she shot first and Travis didn't die and maybe the gun even jammed so she had to use the knife after, why else would she steal a gun if she planned to stab, she wanted it to look like a suicide The call she made after leaving Travis' house will always be something I consider, had she been scared of intruders why would she leave him a voicemail and on the other aspect if she had use self-defense against Travis why did she leave him a voicemail? It seems like she was definitely covering tracks

So while nothing justifies her killing him, listening to this again showed how arrogant he was and trully a sex fiend (he was very graphic) and she just went along w him to please him bc she though she’d lose him otherwise. If you listen none of the sexual scenarios were her idea but after he suggested them, she was all “oh you’re so bad” giggle giggle. I honestly think she wasn’t really that into how graphic the sex was but she did whatever he wanted. Very desperate to keep him engaged and still interested in her. Thing is he just wanted her body and to use her. He didn’t want to marry her. Instead of killing him, she should have just walked away. She was dx’d w borderline personality disorder at trial and one of their traits is intense fear of abandonment. Now do I think he abused her- no way. She made all that up afterwards to excuse her angrily butchering him in the shower. I do feel he led her on and played w her emotions (at least in this audio) but of course it doesn’t justify killing him.
