My sister married a man while in prison and lied about his conviction. My other sister said he had molested someone 10 years and younger. My family continue to act like this information is not true. I went up to the courthouse and got the court records. The child was abuse from 5-10 years old. My other sister said I was trying to ruin my older sister’s life because I went to find the truth to protect my family. My oldest sister has remains angry at me.

I think in a previous interview this cousin said she (and other family members) tried speaking with the aunt and grandma (with whom Na’Ziyah lived) to raise the alarm about this guy and voice their concerns about him being in the home around Na’Ziyah and other children, but the aunt didn’t listen. She and other family members also called CPS. When Na’Ziyah went missing, this cousin came on tv and said she suspected the aunt’s boyfriend and now the evidence shows that she was right .

There is NO WAY the girlfriend, mother and other family members didn't know SA was happening. Okay. So that's one huge issue! There needs to be charges brought upon those individuals for at least child neglect & endangerment. People have a false sense of security knowing that in America we have systems in place for everything. And people fail to realize that those systems do not work the way they're intended to work. There are major flaws in CPS in particular. They are working with child safety. Society can't afford to have flaws! It's too important. I acknowledge the importance of what they do. And I'm open minded enough to know that there needs to be massive reform, not just doing little fixes. The employees are uneducated, under trained & under paid. Not to mention staffing issues.. They go through the motions just to get the task signed off on. They don't actually solve problems or help children. They just go through the steps... And many children fall through the cracks. And predators walk free of coincidence. This happens more often than not. And society shouldn't be okay with those odds. Not when it comes to children's safety & well-being. Everyone claims that they care about children. But nothing is actually being done to help the most vulnerable & desperate ones. Our justice system is clearly broken. The moment he was reported to be around children, he was in violation of his parole and should've been charged and arrested. This sounds so familiar to another family a year or two ago. They guy was married to the young girls aunt and he was grooming the child, she ended up pregnant and he killed her. The guy was also texting the girls sister. He looks so similar to this guy.
