The BTK case shows why all states should have the death penalty for extreme circumstances. Serial killers are cowards who prey on the vulnerable. They do everything they can to avoid execution, with few exceptions. IMO, BTK should have executed years ago. Or at least it could have been used as leverage to find out more about his crimes. I think the main reason he's not confessing to any other crimes is. He doesn't want to be moved. Being moved for a long term, sentenced inmate sucks. Being moved to another jurisdiction/prison to stand trial would mean. He'd spend hours shackled during transit. It could take him weeks to receive his property on the other end and things could be damaged or go missing.He could end up being placed in a dirty or loud cell. He'll have to interact with new staff and new inmates and he's got no guarantee about how they'll treat him. He could up somewhere that's freezing cold or unbearably hot, etc...you get the point. The fact of the matter is he's settled in. He knows the routine and he's as "comfortable" as he's ever going to get. The cops can say they won't charge him all day long but the reality is he won't know for certain until after he confesses and it's probably not a risk he's willing to take PS people that have never been locked up might not realise what a big deal having to move after you've got comfortable and settled in is. But trust me about this, it's not something you'd volunteer for ...

I’m sorry, one never gets over that. Someone tried to pull me in his car. He had a puppy and candy. I was 6. I bite him and ran to the nearest neighbors house, just running in screaming and trying to hide in a closet. She called the police first, then my mom. The police and my mom could not get me out of the closet. So the sketch artist kneeled in the closet with me while I described him and his car. They knew him. I do remember that. They did capture him that night and he had two dead children in trunk. I’ve never been able to forget his face, his hands and his keys.

Actually, the death penalty is a good tool to get people to confess. Many criminals confess to crimes in order to avoid a potential death sentence. Gary Ridgeway confessed to many murders in exchange for a life term. If there was no risk of an execution, do you think he would have even bothered?

He was calling me and saying horrible things and a friend from San Francisco was visiting when this was happening! One day I was gone and when I got back Louie was freaked out! He said there was a knock on the front door and when he went the back door opened and this guy just stared at him and left! We called the police and homicide said it was him but they didn't need to get fingerprints because they knew who it was! It took the Feds to arrest him! I moved to Baltimore with Louie right away!

Why would he admit to these cases. He doesn’t want the attention to end. Stop giving him what he wants. It won’t bring back the dead.

there is for me a worrying aspect to this case that it is clear that the media would be reluctant to discuss and it concerns their ongoing interviews with this man's daughter . Her desire for prominence has been obvious for several decades and as she seems to become increasingly the focal point I , personally , find it both abhorrent and disturbing .. Obviously we ALL gain both a genetic and personal inheritance from our parents , some positive , some not and becoming aware of it is important for us to attempt to discard or gather such attributes into our mature personality AND it seems she has his need for self grandiosity that the media encourages . I wonder no one in that large True Crime world has never do uscussed this. I am not saying she would , could ,desires to kill but she most definitely wants to be front , left & centre stage and it is disturbing as I believe she has children .and they are also part of this history and having a parent who is constantly prominent will affect them . Actually have never voiced these concerns in this manner before but I di avoid giving her credabxe by NOT watching , listening ir reading about her deliberately . However when these sketches emerged I was interested because they also seem part of his ' imprisoned ' persona . bearing in mind how many serial criminals GAVE shown incredible artistic ability or other firms if artistry. Darmers evocative singing as we heard in Court , those beautiful book narrations by another serial killer . It would seem that along with those propensities that alter their brains these often highly intelligent individuals have that artistic ability that has caused many great artists severe mental problems . How we very , these.are not if that ikk BUT he did and does desire to not be ignored . Yes I realize many SK have turned themselves in , understood that they are abnormal but this man is not in that tribe . Ramirez was & like the fire mentioned had a certain ' appeal ' . Maybe it is that self awareness that is so lacking in this man & his daughter .

I think the main reason he's not confessing to any other crimes is. He doesn't want to be moved. Being moved for a long term, sentenced inmate sucks. Being moved to another jurisdiction/prison to stand trial would mean. He'd spend hours shackled during transit. It could take him weeks to receive his property on the other end and things could be damaged or go missing.He could end up being placed in a dirty or loud cell. He'll have to interact with new staff and new inmates and he's got no guarantee about how they'll treat him. He could up somewhere that's freezing cold or unbearably hot, etc...you get the point. The fact of the matter is he's settled in. He knows the routine and he's as "comfortable" as he's ever going to get. The cops can say they won't charge him all day long but the reality is he won't know for certain until after he confesses and it's probably not a risk he's willing to take PS people that have never been locked up might not realise what a big deal having to move after you've got comfortable and settled in is. But trust me about this, it's not something you'd volunteer for ...
