You hit the metaphorical nail on the head! They are making a CHOOSE not to believe that their father did it. It is willful ignorance. It does seem like such a betrayal for the memory of their poor deceased mother. No accountability in this misguided family. I pray that God will open their eyes and that the doctor would repent and come clean on this side of the grave.

My understanding of the story is that she gave up a promising career to be the stay at home wife and mom. If he would have left her and divorced her, she would have a strong case in family court, especially with his secret life of risky sex. Not making excuses for him, just acknowledging that the financial loss for him in divorce would have been severe.

It’s easy to do though… it’s hard to understand the behavior if you’ve never had a narcissist for a parent. The head games and manipulation begins from birth, so it takes time to snap out of it. My grandparents would often talk about how foolish my mother was and she as always in conflict with someone, but I felt sorry for her because she made herself look like the victim over and over. My friends would tell me how she was sleeping with the neighbors spouses, but I never believed it. I didn’t start to realize how foul she was until I was 47 yrs old.

The fact the doctor told police his wife gave him a back rub that day, to explain that his skin may be under her fingernails, is chilling. It suggests Mabel scratched her husband, as she tried to defend herself during his murderous attack. That poor woman knew her husband, the father of her three children, the man she trusted and shared a home and bed with, was killing her. It's hard to imagine a more horrible and heinous betrayal. And for what? Money - and Greed. Mabel was almost certainly about to leave him - the most common trigger for a man to murder a woman. Like so many domestic killers, Dirk Greineder chose murder over divorce, so he wouldn't have to give his wife her share of their jointly owned assets. Their children know full well their father killed their mother. The way the daughter constantly shakes her head while defending his 'innocence', is very revealing body language! (19:55). They are still being controlled and manipulated by their narcissist father, just as he controlled and manipulated the entire family. If only poor Mabel had realised what he was capable of, and got herself to a safe, secret address to launch divorce proceedings. So many women are murdered because they make the fatal mistake of staying in a soured relationship too long - and give their abusive partner the opportunity to kill them.

The father is probably a narcissist who controlled the family. He probably had already been blaming the mom for many years by then, so his kids were used to considering him the golden parent and the mother - the bad parent. They are still in this mindset probably.

They said there were 3 murders in the same area. Waltham is 30 minutes from Wellesley if you take the highway and it is a very different town.

Watched this trial when it was aired live. No doubt in my mind he killed May. Same as with the "staircase" trial/murderer the kids were in full support of their father.

What got me is that when she felt the pain and sat on the bench, he continued to walk the dog. Had she experienced this when they walked the dogs previously? If my partner was experiencing pain the first thing I would have done is take them home or take them to the emergency room
@Grammichal

That was one of his lies. He said he left her resting on the bench for just 10 minutes while he finished walking the dog. In reality, law-enforcement believes he hit her in the back of the head as they both were walking, but “she refused to die.” He had to work harder to finish her off & try to cover his tracks. FAIL.

I grew up in Norwood, a "poorish" community very near Wellesley in the same conference. Wellesley and the College is a gorgeous town! Walpole is right next to Norwood. Just a little perspective about southern burbs of Boston. ❤

My kids believed their Narcissistic father was the good guy and I was not. Fact is, he played being their pal not their parent. This is a form of emotional incest and control behavior. They are prime manipulators. The kids will be in denial for a long time, but eventually, if you leave them alone with each other, the truth will come out. From the phone call, you can see he is the killer. Too many details. If you are in shock and in grief and disbelief, you do not give all these details to 911. You blurt out that you need help and beg them to come fast, fast, fast. You are only concerned about speed to save someone, you don't talk about walking dogs, leaving her alone, etc. The proof is right there. 2nd proof - he calmly states he did not kill his wife. Any innocent man would be angry and still grieving. No emotion, flat. Then he looks down and hangs his head in shame. So obvious the body language. Why did he kill his wife? Maybe she wanted to leave and his Narc ego was injured and enraged? Maybe he did not want to split the assets and wanted to have money for his sex addictions? He gambled and lost his life. Foolish man. Lost his life, career, assets, kids, friends, everything. And his devoted and lovely wife, sadly. The three gullible children look on. If they were so convinced of his innocence, why did one of them question him? The saddest thing, they lost their mother to murder, they lost their father to jail, and they lost their mother's relatives because they sided with the father which put them in opposing camps. That is the casualty of murder. By the way, Court TV - stop putting clickbait messages like 'graphic images viewer discretion advised'. No gory images, so stop lying.

Not in the Christian faith. My Lord extends grace and mercy if we humble ourselves, recognize our need and ask for His forgiveness. Our sins which are scarlet are made white as snow. Absorb the anointed words written by the former slaver John Newton: 🕊️ “Amazing grace how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me. I once was lost but now am found, was blind but now I see. ‘Twas grace that taught my heart to fear and grace my fears relieved. How precious did that grace appear the hour I first believed.” 🙌🏼

As of February- 2020 he was in the state's medium security prison in Norfolk where he spent most of his time fighting for legislation that would give so called "lifers" a chance for parole after 25 years. So far the verdict has been upheld at every level of appellate review.

His wife may have quit having sex with him if she found out he was with hookers. He was probably with them for years before he said he was. She probably didn’t have a way to get a lawyer and get a divorce because he controlled everything. The children need to wake up, he did kill their mother. They need to think, the father and man they THOUGHT he was, was not real. If he’s capable of all the other things, he’s capable of murder.
