Im a boxing coach, and often say to my boxers of all ages, dont focus on win or lose, just stay in there, dont over think it, be composed under pressure, your going to take some shots thats just how it is, it will come and go in a flash, as long as you let it go there and then, then you go again. You find out about yourself in your training, accept the ups and more so the downs you learn more about yourself there and if you dedicate yourself and you reach the final round at the final bell, your a winner. Its a hard slog and you have to sacrafice some stuff, you will confront all sorts of emotions and many times its easier to pack it in. Thats life for me and many of us, still fighting another round to get to the final bell. I personally have been following the teachings of eastern sages saints gurus for several years and now only recently have found Contemplative prayer, and adding all things together including my life i feel im in the final rounds now. This is the devine lord at work through the outreach programme. I cannot thank you enough its just what this being and soul required. Looking forward to being guided by the trinity (as one) God, son and holy spirit through the final few rounds of this life to hear that final bell and be united as one with God in and as his eternal and infinite love

If only we could have these kinds of teachings from the typical pulpit in our Churches!

Yes, that's where Vatican II went 180 degrees wrong. Rather than making the Churches more like secular life . . . they should have undertaken to make them more like religious life. Diocesan priests are the real institutional culprits. They just go through the motions . . . whether it's in Latin or in the vernacular. They don't know any better. . . .

Congratulations! You are the one you have been waiting for! Pick up your stick (you use to blame others) and use it to walk, pilgrim. I love you as you are.

It is only the obituary in The Economist that made me aware of Mr. Keating. A sincere seeker of the beatitudes that are devoid of any transient happinesses. Much appreciated.

God will bring us back to those things we relinquished that have value. Yes.

Thank you once again Fr. Thomas. Your humble insight never goes without bearing fruit. I began true sincere prayer in the late 1990s . Only satan hampers your ministry and I've heard all the opposition that says the "quiet " discipline of prayer is somehow demonic. I guess my life has taken a turn for the worst! I took care of a dying friend for 5 years then gave away everything I owned to charity's like the "Catholic Church"and the like. I've never been more alive. I met you in the early 90's. You are the living lens of your desire. I know whom I love. You my brother led me in the safe and narrow way to the one who holds me fast.We will meet again. I am a living loving proof of the transformation.

He is a liberal Modernist. So typical of priests of his generation who have occasioned such catastrophic damage to Holy Mother Church. Like most of those he is now dead - and can therefore do no further damage. And, now, the Church returns to TRADITION! Meaning TRUTH.
