cover discussions - Buck Smith

I was sorting mags in Marty Ramos office at Kona Skatepark and all of a sudden Buck Smith walked in! His first cover was in April 1981 on the Kona halfpipe for the Kona magazine and was shot by Hitchcock. A little over a year later in November 1982, Buck ended up on the Kona magazine cover again, this time doing double inverts with Marty Ramos. Buck is busting a judo at the Munster Mastership on the cover of Sk8 Action for the October 1989 issue. Buck finds himself on the cover of the October 1991 Transworld cover doing a nollie to fakie. It was shot by Geoff Graham during a pro vert contest at Kona Skatepark. April 2023.
