After hearing Keith Richards' new version the other day celebrating Lou Reed's 82nd birthday, I was working out the chords for this classic song. I wound up with a shuffle beat sort of like yours. I like yours better. lol Also dig the guitar tone. J-200?

@vtaro5354 Actually, he's doing it straight rock 1, 1-2, 1, 1-2 beat. While Keith's [Steve Jordan] is doing it Four-To-The-Floor with bass + snare drums, similar to Satisfaction. Keith is downstroking 16 count rhythm on guitars and bass. This version is being jingled with up-down strumming, similar to Johnny Cougar. I like both guitar-rhythm styles. I do favor Keith's downstokes, mainly because it facilitates the mid-sixties blues sound that the Stones are known for.

The catchiest song about being a junky ever! Don't get me wrong, I love Lou Reed's music and VU. I even tried heroin once because he made it seem so cool. Almost died; derailled my life for about ten years. But I still love the music.
