That's why there are no rankings in any other sport that I"m aware of that have any bearing on anything. But in CFB it means something. I am anti SEC “Entitlement”, but am super curious what the final standings might look like. Of the top 7 teams there are only two upcoming games where a top 7 SEC team plays another top 7 SEC team. It is possible that 5 SEC teams run the table AND the 2 that do pick up a loss make the playoffs because they can afford another loss (Tennessee and Texas). Who gets in then. Going to be interesting

I don’t know why people in the media continue to prop up ACC teams. For playoff purposes, we have to pretend that an ACC champion is equivalent to an SEC or a Big Ten champion. The same logic - if it can rightly be called logic - that gave us TCU vs. Georgia (BIG 12 vs. SEC) in January of 2023 has propped up Miami throughout the 2024 season. I guess we are now supposed to legitimate SMU.

The committee and the NCAA will not award teams such as Indiana a home game due to the fact that their stadium capacity(53K) is less than the bigger named schools. Unless those schools run the table and force the NCAAs hand. It's all about the money. Thats why Penn state will remain ahead of Indiana in the Playoff rankings. If Indiana loses to OSU, the best seed they will get will be 9. The committee will position a 2-loss team ahead of Indiana just on that factor alone.

There are too many schools in Div 1. There are too many pay to win games against small schools (which dillutes the overall quality of the sport). There should be a legit system in which you have to win your conference to make the playoff. If that leaves too many schools out, then you have too many schools competing to begin with.

Time to look at the recruiting staff at UGA. Kirby needs an epiphany. Time to start recruiting elite offensive talent. Stop relying on 3 and low rated 4 stars to be your offensive weapons. Our previous scouting analyst left for Oregon… who’s killing it currently in recruiting and in the portal?… OREGON. Changes need to be made there if UGA wants to win. Can’t keep relying on elite defenses to win against multi million dollar elite offenses. Bobo averaged 40 a game last season. Give him elite talent and he’s shown he can score with it. This season UGA has what it has and it ain’t very good. Until it start recruiting top tier offensive talent we will struggle to score points. The loss of Muschamp, the losses of Rara Thomas and Colbie Young, the injuries at RB, and the constant OL shuffling aren’t talked about enough when talking about UGA this year. That combined with one of the toughest schedules in the country makes for a tough year.

They could not run the ball and Roarke was getting pressure and sacks right and left, it was an indicator that they haven't played anyone and OSU is going to shred them.
