Green Man I believe that he is generally recognized for his bass playin wizardry but the most important and best talent he has is not really his proficiency but rather his timing. He is able to play perfectly on the backside of the beat which elicits the intoxicating funky feeling that causes one to move their body to the beat!

XBlueM0ndayX tab is such a freaking waste of time and energy!!!! Learn to read already!!!! arg...
@joshstarkey88837 жыл бұрын
How is it a waste of time or energy? It takes about 2 minutes to learn to read tab. I understand there are benefits to learning standard notation, but they're just that. They don't subtract from the usefulness of tab.
@Mattjsu037 жыл бұрын
Josh Starkey ok, point taken...i guess my main gripe is when a brand new aspiring guitarist learns it not knowing that just learning traditional notation will be better in the long run. And again it's quicker and easier but very limited and specific to one main type of stringed instrument. However if you study the history of music notation there were numerous other methods of music notation that didn't stick due to limitations of interpretation, dynamics, etc...and being a lifetime student and teacher of music I am exhausted from having to go back and correct problems due to this form of music notation that would not have exsisted if traditional notation would have been learned in the beginning. And how many people are going to learn traditional notation when this form is proficiently mastered...only to find that learning traditional notation would have been better from the get go...just my experience. And for the proficient instrumentalist TAB does suffice to quickly learn a song or riff. Not trying to be so one sided but rather on a rant that night from a long day of students asking me why, just why bc of their own realization didn't they just learn (or rather get taught) traditional notation. Long live musical theory and debate!! TO EACH THEIR OWN!
@liamjenkins826 жыл бұрын
mostly because music isnt taught in a lot of schools anymore, budget cuts and blah blah. Im 35 and cant read music, i wish i could but i cant. Idont have the time to study it now either, i just play the bass for fun. Thats where this very handy simple to learn tab comes in with its play along bars.... ideal for the uneducated like myself
