RN here and worked at one of the busiest hospitals in NJ. Covid was like a bad dream no one could wake up from. I saw so many people around me quitting or not coming to work and that thought never crossed my mind. I will never forget the first time I put on all my PPE and walked into a room with someone that had covid, I closed the door behind me and saw my breath through my glasses and I was like “well, if I get covid I will deal with it but for now this patient needs my help.” I did 16 hr shifts and the one thing a lot of people don’t talk about is the look on a person’s face that is isolated in their room struggling to breathe and knowing that the only people they have to comfort them was us..not their family or close friends but complete strangers. No one will understand what is healthcare workers felt every day while working during covid. It didn’t matter if you were a nurse, and environmental worker, nursing assistant or MD, we all worked together.

Many of the hospitalists I worked with refused to go into covid pts rooms. They called the patients on the phone or asked a nurse to assess the patient.

I’m an ICU nurse. We could not have survived it without the amazing & hard working RT’s who were right beside us. Thank you!! RT’s do not get the appreciation they deserve from the general public. I remember one night working in a large busy hospital during Covid (500 beds). There were dozens of ventilated Covid patients and all nurses were tripled and there were only 2 RT’s in the entire hospital on shift. It was a nightmare of a shift. Thank you for filming this video.

Yeah, whatever...few believe the fake, stupid, false "hero", tiktok dancing narrative anymore. You all got your free stuff and big paychecks. Meanwhile, too many have family and friends who were intentionally, or maybe best case scenario...brand new, inexperienced staff...killed patients by using all the WRONG drugs and deadly protocols. No respect for damage you participated in to destroy people far and wide. Solid reasons why white coats rarely allowed family in to see victims...until final moments...because of what evil was done behind closed doors. There needs to be Day or Reckoning for those who participated in killing so many innocent people...guess there's always karma and Day of Judgement lurking out there.

From a family of nurses and worked in hospitals for years. I am angered by the incompetence in the White House when I look back at that time. The pandemic nnever should’ve happened! We lost precious hours and days (with the public denial of reality by potus) and supply chains were broken too. Health care professionals like yourself worked soop hard. I have knowledge of at least 2 doctors who have quit practicing and another that suicided due to the trauma caused by covid. PTSD is real!! Thank you for sharing and God bless you ♥️

What a joke. Most white coat centers didn't allow family in to see any patients maybe until last moments of life, and all the damage was done. If you were not with your dad all day long, every day, and carefully monitoring his treatment, you really do not know what happened to him. How long has he, or will he, survive after that corrupt mess? Guess time will tell. Most of these situations were not good or right in any way, and nothing to "thank" perpetrators for his mistreatment literarily behind closed doors.

Writing to you from Italy. We were hit first and SO hard, and we lost thousands. Oh, the pain of saying goodbye forever via video call. A nurse holding the phone while we said our farewells...shaking my head...such sorrow...and such gratitude to those nurses. There are no words, except thank you to ALL who work in the medical field, and to those who were called out of retirement to join forces. Thank you, thank you, thank you. It was watching Italy from here in New Zealand that made me alert to it coming… I prepared and told family and friends to (who didn’t believe me at first). When it finally got here, I was totally set up! I work from home anyway but had all the supplies I needed for a long time as I have chronic health issues and could not afford to get Covid. I pretty much stayed in my house for2 years. I still haven’t had Covid. I felt so bad for Italy, USA and UK who were hit so hard.

I'm a Respiratory Therapist in Florida. I feel your pain. I worked in the ICU treating cancer patients when covid hit. It took a huge toll on me watching so much death, I ended up leaving. Now I have severe anxiety and get panic attacks regularly. I never thought I would be in this position in my life. I always figured I would be the caretaker, now I'm the patient. I'm on so many meds that just keep me "sane" now. I don't know when I will feel better or normal ever again. I wish you the best, know that you are not alone.

I took early retirement as a nurse during covid. The treatment protocols that were dictated defied everything I was ever taught in my 40 yrs in the medical field. In addition, I was concerned about the limited testing of the "cure" and refused to take it. Glad I listened to my intuition. Best thing I ever did.

I was 14 weeks pregnant when I got the Delta strain of COVID in August 2021. I was intubated and proned. My fiancé and daughter (5) came to the hospital to say goodbye to me. My fiancé is also a respiratory therapist and was traveling to help the Covid relief. It was a special kind of brutal torture for him because he knew exactly what was going to happen. I had hours to live. Until an Army hospital took my in ( which they never take in civilians ) and I got life saving ECMO. I delivered my son in February 2022, he is healthy and a happy baby boy. I walked away from this experience being told I was a medical miracle, I shouldn’t be alive right now. I’m SO THANKFUL FOR ALL THE RESPIRATORY THERAPISTS, MEDICA STAFF AND DOCTORS. This was a hellish time for many and Thank you so much for your time 💓

Same group caused ALL your problems, and then fake "solved" them. They are not your friends, and not "heroes". Find videos of honest OBGYNS discussing tragedies of this scam on pregnant women and babies. It's a genocide...on purpose. If you had stayed away from white coats, you and your baby would never have goine through any of that horrible scam. Your baby would have much healthier outcomes not going through trauma. You are not a "medical miracle". Someone, somewhere may have not followed protocols to kill you and your baby...that's it. You've been lied to and deceived.

The first time i met a respiratory therapist was when they were working on a friend's baby for over an hour, helping them manually breathe because the machines wouldn't sync with her correctly. I have an incredible amount of empathy and appreciation for RT's and other critical care healthcare folks, none of them could ever prepare for that work with covid. Thank you Nic for sharing your story with us, I can see and feel your struggle. PTSD is real and I understand why so many people left the healthcare industry. My partner works in education at a teaching hospital and I remember when they were first going through the protocols via video on how to intubate someone with PPS on before there was a vaccine for it and when we still didn't fully understand how it was transmitted. Once covid hit EVERYONE at the hospitals had to learn that procedure and we were both terrified with how many people would all have to be in the room and share that space with a covid positive patient. No one could have been prepared for this and no one had a better answer than others on how to address it and take care of people. Nic, you have done your best with what you had and I am sure that maybe of your patients who survived infection are SO SO grateful for your care. Sending you lots of love Nic!

So many people left "healthcare" because they were honest and saw all the evil and corruption. Only nurses left at local hospital are recent graduates who really don't understand anything, and just follow orders because it's all they know how to do. ALL the experienced nurses are gone.

Fellow RT here, can confirm that the Vid wrecked a LOT of us. As healthcare workers, we danced with the reaper often beforehand, but that was different; no matter how we chose to move, it was always the wrong step. Watching people pass on, alone and often violently, multiple times a shift, for weeks on end, flattened us. Be kind to the folks you know that were in the maw of it all.

I lost my cousin to cardiac arrest after Covid in January 2023. It was heart wrenching knowing so many people felt like it was “over” and we were “out of the woods”. It was his 2nd bout of covid, and it killed him. I can still hear my dad saying “he’s brain dead”. I can still see him in the icu on the ventilator. I will see it until I’m dead.

13 year Hospice aide here who worked through Covid in NJ It was brutal. Personally saw dozens of deaths. I did my job well, in full PPE, trying to keep them comfortable, advocating for pain meds, helping families who couldn’t be there to see/talk with their loved ones. Concerned thruout that i would pass it on to my own family. I give much respect to the doctors, nurses and professionals like this man. But please remember that AIDES are the ones who interact and take care of your loved ones the most. It can be a hard job both physically and emotionally, with low pay. ❤ to all the aides out there.

Thank you! I am an STNA and you are 100% right! The aides are in the rooms, interacting with the patients constantly. I know I have PTSD from covid. I remember each person we lost....it was traumatizing for everyone! Our floor, a med-surg floor in a small rural hospital, ended up taking care of ICU level patients because, at times, the other hospitals were not accepting any patients. It was really an awful situation & was made worse by people who thought it wasn't real- or like the flu. They would argue w us when they were dx'd w covid- as if it was somehow our fault they got it. I say the best of people & the worst. It was such a crazy, awful time.

@@flaman1967 You're barking at the wrong person. A hospice aide helps with the PERSONAL care and NOT the medical care of a patient. They perform care & comfort tasks like bathing, changing bed linens, helping patient go to bathroom. dressing, brushing teeth, washing & combing hair, etc. They have nothing at all to do with prescribing medications. Also, the medicines you mentioned are not pain med substitutes and would never be prescribed as an alternative for pain meds.

He touches briefly on isolation… I would agree… Isolation was the hardest part of working in healthcare during the pandemic. My friends and family did not want to be around me as a Covid nurse. They knew I was directly exposed on a daily basis and it would risk exposing them. Another element of isolation… Was the isolation my patients faced. I’ll never forget I had a husband and wife both in their 80s actively dying in rooms next to each other from Covid. We were not allowed to take them into the hallway to put them into the same room so that they may die together Because it could “potentially risk exposing other people” which was a total joke back then because we moved patients in the hallways all the time to get them to their rooms. The ethics and morals we had to face and question on a daily basis back then was difficult to handle.

Hardest part for me was three no visitors policies. As people were dying, we held patients hands and tried to comfort them. many families figured out from outside which room was their loved ones, so they would be outside screaming and pounding on the glass while they were passing. So, being a person that's been to war, the battles you fought are extremely similar. PTSD is not a buzzword for what you and your compatriots are going through. People get PTSD from a whole slew of reasons. Most likely you've suffered an OSI which can lead to PTSD. You talking to us, and Mark giving you a platform to speak about your struggle, will hopefully open a few eyes. Great interview Nic, there's a ton of people that appreciate what you and what your peers went through. Sometimes you gotta know when to throw in the towel, and you gave everything you had. Retired RT here. I sincerely feel your pain. I worked in San Francisco I beginning of the AIDS epidemic. There were no drugs or protocol then. I would often leave work in tears and many times hit the bar at 7am. I left SF and did anything but Respiratory Therapy ( waitress, whatever for a year before I was able to return to my profession. I am glad to see you talking about this. Take a break if you can. Hang in there.

The worst part of this Pandemic for me is that so much of public thinks they know better and that WE killed the patients by, putting them on vents, giving them vaccines or Remdesiver, not giving the Ivermectin, that the media exagerrated the deaths, a whole bunch of idiocy. I can't imagine if people started blaming the veterans for deaths, or claimed THEY knew more about combat than the trained vet because they watched some KZbin videos. It is really upsetting. I was hoping Mark would interview someone like this, but all it does is stir up all the clowns who STILL think they know better than trained professionals and claim we are mindless robots following orders who killed patients. I love Mark.... and this is no knock to him... However ..I feel like this guy had SO much to say, but we didn't get to hear 99% of it. He needed it to be brought out a bit. He was giving openings but they were not really picked up on. I hope Mark brings him back so we can see the real interview he so desperately wanted to give- and we ALL need to hear. I say this as a person who lost my best friend to Covid. My dad. He came to live with me on Hospice while i cared for him the last 6 months of his life. I commend you for what you did to help so many. I lost an uncle and two of his sons from Covid. One cousin died on August 3, 2020, my uncle August 5, 2020 and the other cousin August 21, 2020. My husband died from Covid at the end of 2021. He was 55. I held a lot of anger at the hospital for the sheer chaos of it all even tho I knew it wasn’t their fault. It was too much for all of us and I don’t think people who weren’t in the trenches realize how many of their fellow citizens are walking around with PTSD. My wife suffered for over three weeks with cov pneumonia before she died in Sept. 2021. She was only 40 years old and left behind three children. The hospital big shots and their gov protocols are what killed her. She was pumped full of poisonous chemicals and drowned on her own fluids. Pneumonia is a buildup of fluid in the lungs. The only way to expel this fluid is to cough. She wasn’t even given a chance. She was placed on c-pap and then a ventilator and never got to cough one time. She was double jibbed. He went in, in September 2023. 4 days later they had a covid outbreak and he got it. I got a call in the morning my dad was found unresponsive and unconscious. He never woke up. In a coma from Covid pneumonia, and a blood clot from Covid went to his brain. We are a very close family. My brother and I were at the VA hospital day and night. The staff were unbelievable kind, and took care of dad even though the doctors told us he would never wake up. Dad died one week later.😢 By the way he was all vaccinated too. And there was a team of eight hospice doctors. They explained everything, and helped us.❤

I also worked as a respiratory therapist during Covid… I’m so glad Nic did this interview to bring some awareness to how difficult things were in our field… multiple 12 hr nights of patients rapidly declining every shift was really hard to deal with... there was always a sequence of decline-high flow O2 to bipap to intubation then ventilator and proning… rarely were we ever able to save anyone after that. A majority passed away, but I always remember the ones who miraculously made it through. As a nurse of 30 years, I’ve seen a lot of death. None of them are easy at all. You have to separate yourself when working… Healthcare workers will understand me. When I worked in the ER and was doing CPR on young children for example…. You work like hell to Save them. You step out of your own emotional mind for a bit. When over, the silence can be deafening. You walk away to be alone, you pace and cry. You take it home with you. You hold it in and don’t share it all with family. You don’t always share it with your co-workers. It’s just an understanding you have with one another. The other nurses, doctors, RT’s, techs etc… are your family. You spend as much, if not more time with them, than your own family. You have an unbreakable bond because you see and deal with things, that other people don’t and can’t understand. It’s like law enforcement or military…. Paramedics are a breed in and of themselves as well. I loved our paramedics. We also are a warped bunch, as I’ve been told. We can eat right after seeing the worst things; we make stupid jokes and play pranks on one another and folks don’t understand that it’s a coping mechanism sometimes. We miss many meals and don’t get enough bathroom breaks, if any at all. If we didn’t have some of these releases, we wouldn’t survive. 30 years later and I still remember the first traumatic death I saw and his family. I have a piece of every one of them in my heart. I still go the gravesite randomly, of my first infant patient. He lies close to some of my own family members and is a part of me now and forever as well. I have much respect for this man who’s speaking out about his experience, as most of us don’t and won’t share. God bless him and his struggles. I want to add that I myself had COVID and ended up in the ICU as a patient as well. I thank God for the staff who took care of me and saved my life. People have died whether they were vaccinated or not. Folks used to support Healthcare workers and then turned on the ones who didn’t take the vaccine. Staff were cursed out and horrible things have been said to them. As we’ve learned and seen, there have been ramifications and death, of the ones who’ve taken multiple ‘vaccines’. It’s not like the normal vaccines such as MMR, polio etc.. Folks have had blood clots, heart problems etc.. from it. People have died. It’s a personal choice. Just as we’ve learned the mask don’t prevent that teeny tiny virus from invading them. It’s a trial and error as we learned about Covid. Thousands of healthcare workers etc.. lost their jobs, which put an even greater strain on patient care. Healthcare will NEVER be the same since Covid hit.

⁠@@toeachitsown2050Unfortunately not true in the case of covid. Early in the pandemic patients were coming in with extremely low oxygen saturation, but awake talking and responsive. Those patients were sedated and placed on a ventilator. The outcomes were not good, and quickly the treatments shifts to things like high flow oxygen and proning the patient. Medicine and doctors are not perfect. In some cases they get it wrong and have disastrous results.

Fellow healthcare worker, a nurse at a NYC hospital. For me the hardest part was having to stay away from family because I was worried that I would be an asymptomatic carrier and give it to a family member. My parents were really worried about me working and begged me not to. Also, seeing many people dying by themselves was really hard. I can’t imagine how scared they were as their illness progressed and without any support. Family/friends weren’t allowed to visit and as healthcare workers we limited our time in the rooms to prevent increasing the chance of contracting the virus. It was all around very sad and felt hopeless at times.

My aunt had to retire from being a RT after covid .. still traumatized. She told me" I've 43 patients in a vent and i don't think any will be coming off" . My daughter was working in a rehab hospital during covid and she's traumatized by the way administration (mis)handled it like using the same PPE for weeks, if they got any in the beginning, to a patient dead for 3 days before they discovered it, to burns to her throat from being forced on disinfection duty, to vaccination coercion ... she finally left. I don't doubt there are many HCW and patients severely traumatized from that terrible time.

I teach English language skills to international students at a Pharmacy school. My students were 18 and 19 years old, had part time jobs in pharmacies when Covid started. Week by week, they would tell me in online classes that fewer and fewer people were showing up for work. Their coworkers got sick, some were scared, so these kids were suddenly full time, working alone, in a different country during a pandemic lockdown. I would always check in and ask if they were doing ok. 100% of them said they wouldn’t give up, they would go to work and take care of their patients. One said, “this situation is why I want to work in healthcare. This is what I’m supposed to do, I won’t give up; I’m not afraid.” I was amazed at their courage. They never missed classes either, even when they got Covid, wrapped in blankets, drinking tea and coughing with lmics off in their little zoom squares. I hope you students are all ok out there!!

Ok I know this is months late, but I work in a hospital and vents save lives. They are machines that breathe for people who can't on their own. You can tell who is ready to come off the vent by the settings: if the person's oxygen levels are dropping and you need to set the machine to high to keep them alive, they are not ready to breathe my themselves yet. There is nothing wrong with keeping people on a vent for days or weeks, you just have to watch out for infections. But between a treatable condition (infection) and untreatable one (death), the first one is easily better.

We even ran out of sanitizer and the wipes we use to clean equipment. People even stole supplies, so it had to be locked up and distributed by managers. Oh... I lied, the #1st thing we ran out of were rooms that could properly contain Covid patients because before the Pandemic, every hospital had only 1 or 2 anti rooms (negative pressure rooms designed for airborne viruses). We had to somehow create entire wings of these overnight, even though you're technically supposed to have 2 rooms (a doff/Don room in between the contaminated room and the regular rooms). Oh, yes, we also ran out of Covid tests right away, so we couldn't even properly test everyone. It was obvious who had Covid though, because it was such a unique presentation.

Then we ran out of beds and low on medications. BEFORE Covid the average stay in the ICU was about 3 days I believe. It was rare for a patient to be in the ICU for more than a few days, and if they were, they probably were going to die. But with Covid patients, the average stay in the ICU was 2 weeks!! Some took up a bed in the ICU (which requires the most resources) for a whole month! Once all the beds and ER was filled, patients had to be diverted elsewhere. We had to ship patients 2 states away sometimes.

I worked thru covid at a small, rural hospital on the 'med-surg' floor. Besides how sick the patients were & how packed & over capacity it was- I remember the heavy weariness of myself & my coworkers. I was in and out of covid isolation rooms for my whole 12 hour shift, wearing stifling hot PPE and just running from one patient to another, all day long. The needs were endless and overwhelming, day after day. Problem with your story is a cheap drug would have solved your patients' issues. They would have walked out of your death zone. I am an RN that worked thru the AIDs epidemic in NYC in the 80s. It was horrible to see so many people die horrible deaths. The only way i survived was to make art. As far as if we will recover? Yes, we will. I was lucky enough to meet quite a few Polio survivors during this time. They were patients of mine and believe it or not, everything from the vaccine drama, to the fighting over masks, to shutting down and isolation to the "go back to New York " because people were fleeing cities ALSO happened with Polio. Nic, I'm a hospitalist, and I appreciate you doing this. COVID was brutal. We were seeing so many patients, having the same heart breaking conversations room after room after room. Calling families and explaining the same heart breaking things over and over again when they couldn't be there. Having so many patients die. There were weeks where I had at least one patient die every day. I learned some valuable lessons, and I'm a better person for having gone through it, but there are ways that COVID - and everything going on during that time - really broke me. You just feel better believing that than accepting that you fell for the lies fed to you online from complete strangers. I'm sure it made you feel special and gave you some sort of sense of control in a very chaotic and unpredictable time.

Norman. When searching for and trying ANY and ALL treatments did your "team" ever turn to the FLCCC treatment protocols like MATH+ , I-CARE, I- PREVENT? These protocols were extremely successful in places that didn't cancel, suppress, attack, and outright criminalize these treatments. The effectiveness of these protocols are still being attacked by the FOR PROFIT pharmaceutical / medical industrial complex. Were there financial incentives to use "in house" "officially vetted" treatments? You should ask the Head Doctors and Top Administrators that question. Good luck to you Norman. Thank you. I agree but just found myself exhausted listening to this guy. I respect him and his efforts and sympathise with his suffering, but he shed in my opinion several stupendous comments, such as PTSD being something silly. These are incredibly unprofessional remarks and I find myself questioning his competency after hearing them.

@@JenniferThacker1969 I disagree. I just wasn't going to rewind to catch his exact words. He referred to how PTSD was something along the lines of overused these days, the clear insinuation being that unlike war veterans and covid care personnel, others are not as legitimate. My response to that line of reasoning was and remains that, that's ignorant at best. Oh and that someone like him should know better.
