In awe, nearly 99 percent beautiful and positive responses to this...I was right to do this and I was right to offer love in the face of so much heartache. I'm in England and I know it all had to come about this way...with love to all who get this effort, Nicky

Nick's story is so much deeper than he had time to share on here & I encourage anyone who got something out of this very condensed version to seek out his books, the film The Fear of 13, & his social media. Thanks for saying this. I would encourage anyone that really cares about humanity to take away something positive here and avoid focusing on slandering Nick or debunking his story. Anyone who's seen the fear of 13 will know that his story has been independently verified (not that anyone could make it up). Simple, uneducated comments without a lot of substance fall on deaf ears and are mostly not real people or accounts anyways, so I would urge folks not to waste their energy on such things. I'm a professional photographer who just spent a week following Nick around while he lived in my home amongst the beings I care about the most. He's a beautifully imperfect person just like all of us. May you know peace.....

Shout out to the person that defended you in that tic toc on the very first comment that said... blah blah blah you do the crime you do the time! So many people came to to your defense and that is how I knew your name! I hung on your every word.... I believed every word you said because you said it with such passion and such conviction! If we don't advocate for ourselves, nobody will advocate for us! You advocated yourself right off of death row and walked right out of the prison a free man😊 Good on you -🎉

It sounded like mark was brought to tears by his story. This was probably the best piece of work that mark has done. I never was so affected by a KZbin video like this one. This man’s story was inspirational and puts everything into perspective.

This is the most impactful interview on this channel, and I have watched many. I cannot even put into words, the palette of emotions I felt listening to this story. I have the utmost respect for Nick and I am always devastated to hear about such unbelievable injustice and unnecessary suffering in this world.

@@charlespancamo9771 What does asking for money have to do with your soul? It's immoral to ask for money? He spent 22 years on death row, there's no amount of money that can buy those years back. What's this "dirt" eh? And if there is "dirt" maybe it's because he got screwed by the system and spent 1/3 of his life in prison for something he didn't do because of DIRTY cops.

Why does he gloss over the violent parts of the story? You think he just stole all those things without any encounters with the owners? How do you think he stole those cars? Hotwired all of them? His ability to articulate himself in describing a moment in time is seemingly poetic. Nothing about his life was kind… we are lucky enough to hear such a gentle man describe his story in way that it’s clear, direct and engaging.

OMG. He is so articulate and well spoken. I’m in awe that with all the damage done to his brain and neurological system from all the trauma and drugs, he’s speaking with such presence of mind and fineness. It’s so sad, he could’ve done so much with his life.

Seriously??? He's a freakin' LEGEND for holding on to his humanity while living a nightmare for decades. What he has done with his life is hold on to a thread of sanity throughout ... pushed through aphasia to articulate this harrowing tale with an eloquence forged in fire. Very few human beings could have done what he has done. His monumental accomplishment is the internal equivalent of climbing Everest and far beyond any trite notion of "success".

@@NICKYARRIS1You inspire with perseverance. You've done so much with your life it radiates strength and hope to others and will persist long after the sun sets. Leaving such a motivational pillar of strength for society to lean on is an achievement a small few have the honor to hold. You should be proud and know many are proud of you. The reason he can tell this story like an autobiography is because trauma is vivid in your mind and so much of his life was traumatic in one way or another. So much pain and injustice yet strength and resiliance overcome it all. I never thought Id listen to the hour and then some but I was so ingrossed in it all. I dont know if youll ever see this but thank you for being brave enough to be so vulnerable and honest. I relate to several things in your story, especially about being abused as a child and hating yourself for not telling someone. You are an amazing human, I love you and you beautiful soul.
