Two tablespoons coffee, bring just to a rolling boil, reduce heat to a slow boil for 60 kohansky seconds, I set aside for two minutes and tap with my knife. @@VRGPICTURES No worries I'm quite happy to answer any questions. kzbin.info/www/bejne/jaHJfGtuidFqaMU This video speaks about flint and steel fires. Char cloth is what captures the spark and allows it to be transferred to a tinder bundle. A natural material like cotton or punky wood needs to be charred in a low oxygen environment and that's why I put the cotton in the tin and then in the fire. Hope this helps you out👍

That's different for sure, I've never heard that one. It would be extra strong too, I like that! Lol. Thanks for watching👍

I figure if I'm going to take that much time, I'm going to make a pot, not a cup.

This is how it was taught to me years back.. well we boil for about 5 minutes instead of 60. I bet the method itself wasn't new except perhaps to 'cowboys' but picked up and passed on. The US is/was a country of immigrants. :) What is the other method of cowboy coffee?

Thanks for watching! Some people dont tap the sides of the pot but pour a bit of cold water on top to settle the grinds . Either way it's delicious! Take care 👍

Not to be that guy but. . . Do ya really need to bayonet if you have an axe? Cool vid!

Thanks for watching my friend. Batonning small pieces of wood with a knife is entirely acceptable use of a knife in my opinion, particularly to make fine kindling. Modern day bushcraft knives are designed for this. It's not abuse at all. Just my opinion obviously thanks for your question!👍

@@Woodswalker1965 oh I know just seems silly when you have a hatchet. We all know the real reason to do it is because it's way more fun. Gotta love the newer tough knifes
