My late papa was a sub performer type of fella and I met Hawk and Redd Foley Sang Happy Birthday to Patsy Cline when I was 8yrs old now 73 still sing and thank goodness for karioke.lol lol

"Last Go Round" by Frank Stokes in 1927 available on youtube sounds a lot like this song - wouldn't be surprised if it was the basis.

Hah!!...big black man dig country picki'n?, l grew up in L.A. in the 60's and 70's listening to Zep, Steely Dan, Creedence Clearwater, Beatles, etc. and l'm apreciating stuff now at 63 like Ernest Tubbs, George Jones, Dave Dudley, Merle Haggard, and here with Cowboy Copas, go figure!?...LOL!!
