He would go up to the night crew and say “so how we do last night?” With an assertive tone. We would look at him and go take a smoke break and he would get on the phone with the manager. The manager came in the next day saying he was his right hand man whenever he wasn’t there. He saw how we weren’t having any of that with our actions and we made sure we stopped that real quick. We had like 6 people wanna play boss at that place 😂

I once had a coworker try to tell me what to do RIGHT in front of a manager who just told me to do the opposite. And I told her sorry, but Monty is the manager, I'm listening to him. She got pissed and started talking mad shit about me to the night shift employees and shift lead coming in, not realizing I was on the other side of the door clocking out. I called her out in front of everyone and she huffed off. Apparently she tried to get me in trouble with the store manager, but since the store manager and I had a mutual friend, she already heard about the drama that I told my buddy. Needless to say, store manager took my side and I didn't get in trouble lol.
