I got the DA42 few weeks ago and it's a good plane, but I couldn't make the VNAV work as expected. But I'll give a chance on DA40 for sure.

A friendly heads up on MP. As a general rule it is recommended the MP be set below the RPM during cruise. I tried to find a POH or flight manual for the aircraft on the internet but none were available. I did find a picture of the panel of that plane at altitude. MP was 25.1 inches and the RPM 2580.

@@Vornamejeff Actually there are a few Cessna's with a constant speed prop and a MPG. These are 172 conversions done by there owners.

@@lpappas474 The 172 gets 2200 rpm at full throttle. You are constantly "over square" on the 172

@@Vornamejeff That's a little strange, throttle controls manifold pressure not RPM. Could it be 2200 RPM is the max with a given MP.

Dont know if you use time acceleration or not occasionally, but Ive noticed that it messes up the live weather.

Yes you can fine tune SPAD to your desire

Ive tried SPAD, but cant seem to get comfortable with it. Since I live in Oklahoma, but really enjoy visiting NM and AZ, Im showing up to Overkills house to teach me how to properly use spad😂
