Yes!! Every once in a while I've gone back to watch your playthroughs of Rusty Lake Hotel and Rusty Lake Paradise, there's something about how all the solutions work that feels really brilliant. If I ever get to make a game I'd want it to have creative puzzles like Rusty Lake!

There are so many cool games from the past few years that are made by, like, half-a-dozen guys in an office in Hilversum.

In my opinion, past within is the weakest game in the series. It did some neat innovative stuff, but the vibe wasn’t as on point as usual and the puzzles were super simplistic in comparison. I get it, because you need to make a multiplayer game more accessible, especially considering I expect that the players will have different skill/familiarity with the series and genre, but still, it ended up being a little underwhelming. I’m glad it brought you into the series though! It’s pretty dang excellent

I do enjoy past within but it’s not my favorite of the series it’s so hard to pin a favorite with how wild these games are. Jesses videos have just introduced me to so many games I didn’t expect to like and I will always be grateful for it since ever since I started watching him 10 years ago. I ended up doing an Albert cosplay back in May so this game series is up in my favorites for sure and it is all because of watching that one video and then doing a deep dive of the series. Oh man, Jesse stopped right before the most amusing part, you just know he is going to go to town on that man's nipple torture. This is the first time I've ever completed a Rusty Lake game before him so it's interesting to see things from the other side for a change. I'm surprised how long it took him to remember some of the Rusty Lake staples like checking people's pockets but it's good to see that he remembered about being an over-inquisitive mind ceaselessly clicking on everything looking for a reaction. Can't wait for part 2 and possibly 3 as he reaches the second act as it were, I know I got the majority of it myself but had to look up what the hell the deal with the tapes were.

I think it's nothing, old clock would often use IIII instead of IV. I got two pocket watch from the 1800's and they use IIII.

Quick google search tell me that subtractive notation (IV) became a thing after the fall of western roman empire, so before that IIII was the correct representation of 4. After that watch and sundial makers had to choose between IIII and IV and not everyone converted to the new standard. And now we're stuck with it almost 2500 years later.
