We had a high-content coy-dog for 13 years. We liked to think she was just a dog, but if you were a squirrel trying make it from the backyard tree to the fence, you got the same treatment as that raccoon. The first time my wife witnessed it, she yelled, "Save it!" I just looked at her and said "I don't think so."

I'm confused. How do I distinguish the 3 animals and see the kill? Would it be too tedious to describe the blow-by-blow?

The coyote spotted a young raccoon by the tree. The coyote kills the young one, then as the coyote runs away with its kill, the mother attempts to chase the coyote, but, too late. The coyote didn't want to fight mother raccoon because adult raccoons are dangerous, especially if you're stealing their young. At least, that's what I think happened.
