I feel like with getting into poetry a lot of people put all this pressure on themselves to fully understand every single aspect of a poem, and it's like, sometimes poetry is just about the vibes! and I love how you were drawing while reading because I feel like that's very in the spirit of things, just experiencing the poetry and drawing a little picture

Doc Martens are really amazing shoes. My mom got herself a pair back when she was in her 20's. She wore them all the time. Then once I was a teen and in my goth phase I was allowed to wear them all the time. Now I am in my mid 20's and she still wears that one pair she got decades ago. These shoes feel like they are unbreakable, it's crazy!

I recommend putting leather footwear in the freezer all through the night ( you can put them in a plastic bag to protect them) sl as to soften the material And make it more malleable for your feet

I've been wearing doc martens for 8 years at this point and just bought my second pair this year!! I can't recommend them enough, these boots have seen so much traveling, rain, dirty snow side walks here in Canada... they're the greatest! Your pumpkin patch isn't the same as my pumpkin patch, although yours looked like a lot of fun to wander about. Here in Oregon (US), you go to a farm and walk out into a field full of pumpkins and pick one. Or two. Or seven. I also grow pumpkins but this year I only ended up with one teensy pumpkin. I did grow quite a few different kinds of winter squashes though! Your pumpkin was a great soup pumpkin. (And yes, you can roast it even with that filminess on the seeds, it will crisp up and be fine. I heartily approve of both your Dr. Martin's and your adorable bed fox. I have a pair of suede Dr. Martin's in a pumpkin orange color. I found them in my size, brand new, at a thrift store about fifteen years ago and they still look brand new. I love them.
