English is my second language, and I struggled so much in learning, but here I’m! Not fluent, but good enough! Classic books still scare me, and i get so frustrated when i cannot get the definition of a word in my head, and there’s no one around me to practice the language with. but that’s all okay! It’s an essential part of the journey! Btw your voice in dutch is so beautiful (I believe voices slightly change in different languages) keep it up Ally! I believe in you. Just don’t put much pressure on yourself, if it happened overnight it’ll go overmorning :)

My Spanish teacher in high school threw out textbooks and taught us by reading Spanish Children's books. To this day (over 6 years later!) I still have such a retention of Spanish and I'm looking to apply the same logic in learning Croatian. Also, love your editing as always. It makes me smile.

Hi, Alli! I check for new videos from you every day because they bring me so much joy and inspiration. You talk about your struggles a lot and it is refreshing. Also I love your editing style and the feel you give to the vlogs. I am emphatizing with the language barrier problems a lot because I went through so many menty b trying to learn German - and eventually after 4 years I just finally felt satisfied enough with my level and found peace.... so there is hope! No one is born all knowing, we have learned everything we now know and can, so it is more of the same, we just struggle conceptualizing it.
